Decent rod, but feels a little too flimsy for my liking. Bought it to replace a snapped Ugly Stik GX2, equivalent length and power (7' medium-heavy). For the price I think it works just fine especially to replace a rod last-minute before a trip, but it won't be my first choice next time I need a replacement. The grip diameter is really small and feels off for a medium-heavy rod, feels like an ultralight to me. The guides are not very smooth so there is quite a bit of feedback when reeling in. Still, it catches fish and flexes ok so I'll still use it til I break it! ... show more

Good rod just not for saltwater fishing. Fished with this rod a handful of times and all metal on the rod is corroding. The ring loops are falling apart and some corroded in half. If you plan on buying this rod only use it for freshwater fishing.
