I am a renter, so I’m not trying to drill holes. I’m my half bath there was an already installed blind (seen in 2nd photo) that was tissue thin and at night I didn’t want to turn the light on because I knew my neighbors could see my shadow on the other side in the potty! I love the top down feature of this blind because it allows me to let more natural light in the day without losing privacy. It was a happy accident that the screws to the original blind were stripped so I couldn’t take it down because they pair well together with the light filtering one with the blackout one. I was afraid at first this thing would not have enough tension to hold, but it is in there super tight and literally was the easiest thing to install. I had to wait a little longer for this order because it was coming from overseas, but it was well worth the wait and when searching for this type of blind other seller’s were way more expensive adding crazy amounts for the length and width. This was a bit of a splurge, but my goodness it feels great to not feel secure in the half bath with the lights on now. It is quality material, everything you need is included and literally not a single tool was needed. And I was afraid when I went to pull the top down it would totally land on the floor, nope, completely snug in there.

These were so easy to install! Love the blackout feature on the interior of the shade. The only thing that surprised me is that the plastic piece that covers the adjustable spring where the top is wedged between my 2 sills fits *over* part of the built-in cover of the top of the blinds. So, there's a built in plastic cover to that hides the the inner parts of the blinds and then a small plastic piece that hides the rest, but part of it sits on top and you can tell it's not a seamless piece. Not very noticeable but if you're picky about small details, this could bother you.

This shade took a month to get to me. I had ordered one in October, needed 2, but wanted to make sure the quality was there as they are non-refundable, as they are cut to fit your window. The shade(s) fit my window (s) perfectly. They took about 5 minutes each to install using the wrench that came with. Plastic "handles" are included to snap onto the bottom for ease of raising and lowering. I goofed when ordering and got one thermal and one allowing light to filter in. The thermal one will help keep my room warmer/colder, depending on season, and I really like the way sunlight filters through the other one.

I've ordered from Berissa before and this time I had a problem. The blind fit but is was a bit shifted to one side in my window casing. This blinds easy install takes away some of the "custom" fit of the blinds that require hardware. I asked them to supply an additional endcap that I was able to make into a shim to move the blind to the center of the jam. See my picture. Perfect! When you order this blind I recommend you don't remove the typical 1/2 inch of width to correct this problem. Measure the width top and bottom and remove 1/8 inch, but no more than 1/4 for a tighter fit and tell them to cut the blind exactly to you dimensions. Or, order a Berissa blind that needs hardware so you can install the blind on center.
