I ordered 3 or 4 fireplace inserts and none of them fit or they didn't function or look as good as advertised. This one is decent for the price. I've had a real wood burning fire for years and I'm not that thrilled with the fake look of the fire, but the outer appearance looks real with the glass doors and screen behind the doors. It's certainly better than hauling wood into the house and the mess the ash creates. The heat output is ok and the crackling sound adds to the aesthetic of the unit. It was very easy to install. Open the package, take off the protective film and packaging, slide it into your fireplace opening, plug in and enjoy. It's lightweight too so if I want a real fire with wood logs, I can slide it out and use my fireplace. Great for a single retired woman to lift and handle on her own.

DEFINATELY A PROJECT, BUT ITS COMPLETE AND BEAUTIFUL. LIVING IN ARIZONA WE ONLY USED THE FIREPLACE ON CHRISTMAS MORING. THIS IS JUST SO MUCH MORE PRACTICAL FOR US. GREAT PRICE TOO!! The size didn't match the description or the box. As much as we like the style of this fireplace, it doesn't match in our box. So customer service was quick and very pleasant to work with. They sent the right size fireplace and it fits perfectly.

When researching which fire place insert I wanted, the reviews for this unit were pretty good… and accurate. I bought it and I am not disappointed so far. Nice little heater. Looks great. The one negative is the crackling sound of fire… VERY monotone, cheap sound. We will not be using the sound … maybe just to show people how bad the sound is. However, everything else we are happy with. Easy installation. The fan is also very quiet which is a BIG plus. The fire looks great, but likely not using anything but the “real” looking orange. The blue flame just doesn’t look natural, but looks good. The heater works well, but takes a minute to heat up a 18x18 room. Overall, not disappointed. ,

Love it. Haven't had to use the heat yet, so waiting to see how to warms our tv room. Wish it had a thermostat to actually set temperature. All I could tell, it had just high and low. Instructions didn't really help.
