  • EXCELLENT
Color: Cinematic Colors
Try four different projectors this is the best of all. an exquisite technology. as if you were in the theater. Buy it. If you hear any negative comments, surely they are the competitors who do not accept their incompetence.

  • Careful with the optical port!!
Color: Cinematic Colors
Just set the projector up last night, replacing a super introductory projector I had purchased at the beginning of quarantine. Everything was already set up, I just had to swap them out. I’m guessing my cable was too bulky for the cap and cracked it - so now it won’t stay in place or send direct feed to my Sonos system. Had to do a work around with an HDMI splitter that has an optical port. Otherwise, fantastic picture. Just be super careful with the port. ... show more

  • Only works occasionally
Color: Cinematic Colors
It's obnoxious to pay $2000 for a system so inconsistent. Every other day it won't cast the regular streaming services. It won't cast Netflix at all. There's no consistency about when it will or won't work. No amount of restarting seems to help. The lag playing Nintendo Switch is so bad we don't play on the projector which is a major bummer. When it DOES work, it's great. Just wish we could count on it working all the time. ... show more

  • Not Netflix comparable
Color: Cinematic Colors
Good Projector but you get ripped Off paying an extra 100 for Android tv . You can’t watch Netflix through it which is a huge dealbreaker for me . So have your money and buy the non android and buy a roku or fire stick to use with it

  • Amazing Upgrade for W1070
Color: Cinematic Colors
I have owned a W1070 since 2016 and it has been an amazing projector for my dedicated theater. That said, seeing that the bulk of my film collection was becoming 4K UHD it seemed like the appropriate time to upgrade my system. The HT3550 and HT3550i really were my only options. I have a relatively short throw to my screen from my ceiling mount (~10ft) which greatly limited my options. Fortunately, BenQ created the HT series projectors and they serve as direct upgrade for my W1070 among other short throw projectors. The HT3550i has performed nearly flawlessly. The color and contrast are amazing and the user interface is very easy to use. Calibration also is a rapid affair given that the color is nearly perfect out of the box. My only complaints at this time are that the GoogleVideo app does not display 4K correctly (semi common issue) and that the project is not ideal for gaming. While the lag time is not really noticeable in slower games, FPS and sports games that require specific timing are a bit of a struggle. Overall, I would highly recommend this projector for anyone looking to upgrade to UHD and appreciates cost-value ratios. ... show more

  • Home Theater Experience
Color: Cinematic Colors
This projector is absolutely incredible. Image quality is top-notch. I was a little bit skeptical at the beginning, however, after watching few HDR movies in 4k I was blown away by the quality of the image. You can watch it using just a white wall, however, I recommend using a special backdrop for projectors. Image quality will be tons better. Projector comes with android tv, which is very easy to install inside the projector. All you need is just a little screwdriver and you good to go. Setting up the entire thing took me 5 minutes. Very easy to navigate, very easy interface and menus. Pretty self-explaining. Play around with settings to get the look you like. Under user settings, you get 95% dci-p3 color which is basically exactly what movie theater projectors showing you.
