  • Good for DIY use Good for DIY use
I've done a few faucet replacements over the years and while they weren't that difficult in the scheme of home projects, accessing the fittings and bolts can be tricky and uncomfortable. I'm anticipating doing some replacements in the near future so when I saw these wrenches, I decided to give them a try. I'm a firm believer that having the right tool for the job can make a big difference and since these are inexpensive I think they are worth it even if just used once or twice. These are well made enough for the occasional use I mention, but maybe a professional installer would want something a bit more heavy duty. I like that they nest pretty well for storage so they fit easily in my least favorite drawer in the house (the plumbing drawer). Good enough for home use, good price, and stores compactly are the three reasons I say yes to these wrenches. • Fell a bit Short but solid build, if only the sizes were right
Trying to use this on my sink made me realize our sinks are kind of deep. These tools were able to get up there in the dark cramped crevice but then I couldn't get it to turn. For more than one reason at that. I had trouble getting my hand around it to grip and turn, if they were just an inch or two longer. But since the wrench cutout was on the side, it means it turns in an oval that larger than the gap. Our house is new so I don't suspect our plumbing is an odd size, but nothing seems to fit. It was almost right for the shut off valve assembly but the knob is in the way so you just need to use a regular wrench. And nothing worked on the 3/8". At this point I gave up climbing under sinks. But I can say this is very well built. Solid construction and not likely to bend easily. If this works on the size hardware you have then you may be in luck if nothing gets in the way of using it like happened to me. If it doesn't work due to lack of space or the wrong sizes for your plumbing, then it's likely to be returned. And some would say that makes it a 1 star. But it doesn't. It's not the tool but the job. A small common screwdriver will work on a large Phillips screw. It works, wrong tool for the job, don't complain the common screwdriver doesn't work. That makes rating so much harder. So a 3 is best. It can work where it works and does a good job but fails where it can't. So pay attention to the sizes, first metric is 13mm, 22.8mm, 25mm and 40mm. My mistake was thinking it would work on the hoses, it won't. Reaching into tough places, only when the hoses aren't in the way. But this will work for attaching the fixture. I'll evaluate it more when I remodel the bathroom. Surprise, it's a 4.5, my deeper sinks make this difficult to reach. Add 2 inches plus support the hoses and I'll add a star. ... show more

  • Great tool to have on hand for the price
I mention all the time how important it is to have the right tool for the job. Unfortunately, I don't do a lot of plumbing and didn't have this tool available a few weeks ago when I really needed it. In the end, I just used an old PVC pipe, got the hacksaw out and fashioned myself the tool I needed to reach the nuts way up under my utility sink. So, when I saw this wrenches listed a few days later, I ordered them right away. Now I'll have the RIGHT tool in my hand the next time I do some plumbing work. This design, however, isn't perfect. With the jaw openings on the outside, you're going to need a lot of room around the nut to turn this wrench. Also, the openings are for metric nuts, not SAE. But for what I usually need, which is something to turn those large plastic wing nuts, this was perfect. ... show more

  • Useful, but could use some design improvements Useful, but could use some design improvements
This comes with 2 wrenches. The wrenches look to be well made and fairly durable. This set made work that needed to be done on a pedestal sink MUCH easier. Without this tool, the sink would have needed to be removed to be able to reach the bolt that needed to be unscrewed. Having this tool made it to where the bolt could just be unscrewed without any installation changes with the sink itself. I think this wrench could benefit from a design improvement. While it does seem to be sturdy enough for most jobs and the size is perfect for fitting in those tight spaces, I think that having a flat surface, or maybe even a solid/enclosed shaft would make this tool better. With a suitable surface, you could use another wrench for leverage to untighten stubborn bolts. So, while I think it could benefit from some design improvements, it did make a job so much easier than it would have been if I hadn't had this tool. For that alone, I think the price is very fair. I am pleased with this set of wrenches. ... show more

  • Has most of the sizes you'd need working on sinks and toilet type hardware. Has most of the sizes you'd need working on sinks and toilet type hardware.
Every time I'm dealing with the bathroom and kitchen sink I'm always trying to find a wrench that will fit some of the larger nuts that are under the sinks for the drain pipes and like that. This set of tools should fit almost all of the common ones used in bathroom and kitchen sink plumbing. These are easy to put in a tool box or bag out of the way till you need them and they could be a lifesaver if you do as much of the plumbing repairs in your property as you can. The value you get for the asking price is great and I'm happy I'll have these handy next time I have to fix something in the sinks around here. ... show more

  • good under-sink wrenches for metric hardware
"I received the KKZACONL Multifunctional Sink Wrench 2PCS Compact Basin Wrench with Four-Jaw Hex Design Durable Carbon Steel Tool for Kitchen Bathroom Faucet Installation Repair. These are solid-feeling little tools that work well in tight spaces. I especially liked that they are made of metal. I’ve used similar sink wrenches before with plastic handles, and those tended to flex under pressure, making it difficult to firmly tighten or loosen nuts. These do not have that problem. One important thing to note is that these are designed for metric hardware. If your nuts are standard SAE sizes measured in inches, these will not fit properly. At around $8 for the pair, I think these are a good value if you need compact metric wrenches for working in tight spaces like under kitchen or bathroom sinks." ... show more
