Our saint bernard was recently neutered and it is next to impossible to find anything big enough for our big guy. He is almost 200 pounds and this collar worked perfectly for him. His collar just slides through the inner straps and it held it in place just fine. It stayed inflated for the 10 days that he had to wear it without needing to have any air added. I read the reviews and my labrador retriever recently had eye surgery. The plastic cones that the vet office gives you breaks and as soon as my dog would run into a wall or a chair it would crack the cone. My vet suggested to buy a cushion one that is durable. I saw this and because my dog, Sadie, hates the cone, I decided on this. I love it. You can thread the dog's collar in the inside of the cushion so it won't come off. I pump it up with a mini air pump bought here on Amazon (works like crazy) - this is the one I purchased https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CR31PFPN?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title, and must say I am so happy with it. It is soft and comfortable and Sadie can't get it off. She loves it. Also as soon as I placed it on her neck, I told her she was simply beautiful. Now she prances around with it. Thank you for a great product - I am a happy dog owner and Sadie is happy too b/c it is so comfortable and she is able to eat and drink water. The best part she can't get to her eye. Please note I bought the XL and did measure her neck and it fits perfectly.

Our German shepherd dog has been suffering for really bad allergies! Bought this to stop itching eyes and licking hot spots. Did fairly well, could have been a little bigger as our dog could still lick but not as bad without it. Overall durable, comfortable for our dog and easy to put on. Has a feature to put collar through it which makes it very user friendly for any pet owner!

I like that it is soft and doesn’t make noise when they scratch. Just make sure your pets collar is snug so that they can’t push the donut off with their paws. The collar goes looped inside the donut. The air has stayed inside so far. Easy to wipe clean. Size is pretty spot on. Easy for your pet to rest on to sleep

I have an active Blue Heeler that needed this after spay surgery. This is designed to be worn using their regular collar- which is threaded into the inside of the ring to ensure a snug fit. My Heeler was able to remove it in less than 5 minutes. It was properly inflated and sized. I could have made her regular collar tighter, but then as she struggled to get it off it created a high strangulation risk. DO NOT use it unattended. Ever. Do not kennel your dog while wearing this collar overnight or anytime you are not in direct line of sight to your dog. It has a great fabric cover and appears well-made overall. Blowing it up is not easy as you have to squeeze the nib VERY hard. Deflating was also a huge chore as you have to squeeze the nib to get all the air out. I understand this is to keep it from deflating while the dog is wearing it. Like people all dogs are different, and some will be able to use this collar with no problem at all. I think this product works better for dogs with a less streamlined head and neck or large head dogs like bulldogs etc.

My pal needed Cruciate Ligament Surgery on his other knee. We did the cone last year and we were ALL Miserable with it. This collar worked wonders. He can’t reach his incision and it’s like a comfortable pillow to rest his head on. His quality of life has greatly improved. He’s a big guy (100lbs) and the Xtra Lgr fit perfect. I’d give it 10 Stars if I could.

We got this for our crazy 5 month old boxer!! If you have a hyper or really rough four legged baby this is a good option!! It's inflatable and washable!! Reusable for whatever the need is!! This is Aries we got her spayed and the clinic provided us with the classic plastic cone. Instant regret because it was $18 dollars and it lasted her 3 days before she had all types of dirt, dents, food in it and eventually broke it. She absolutely hated it and would do anything to remove it so while on bed rest in her safe kennel she kept us up til 1am making all types of noise!! Not to mention taking me out with that plastic cone every time I let her out for the potty, had me dodging her left and right! So of course Amazon for the win because this one instantly caught my eye and the reviews were convincing! Let me tell you GET IT !! She loves this thing she literally uses it as a pillow tongue out and everything!! Way easier for her to eat and drink water! She still bumps into everyone and everything but no dead legs! Side note: she espcaped while on a potty break and took herself on a little walk, and the neighbor immediately recognized her and came to let me know that my dog with the doughnut was happily down the street making her way downtown!

I bought the Shark and Sheriff patterns in size small (like the size guide indicated)for my average sized cats who got spayed and neutered…well, it was way too small for my boy - not even closing around his neck, and was the same on my girl who is slightly smaller. The collar was also no match for tiny kitten claws during play time and deflated after 2 days. They looked super cute on, and my cats preferred them to the plastic cones, but I definitely won’t buy this product again. They weren’t as effective and were way too delicate. Probably way more useful for dogs, but if you try them, get a size larger than you think you need. The manufacturer needs to add a layer of protective ripstop nylon between the cover and the inner tube for these to be worth the cost,
