  • I like it, a little small
Let me start by saying i really do like this vice. For fine work or dealing with small parts its perfect. Even medium parts it works pretty well. Of course the obvious distinction is that for larger work it will struggle, so keep that in mind before rushing into purchasing this one as it is intended for smaller work ... show more

  • Nice Vice!
I really like this vice. Compared to my large vice this is much more versatile. It has a 6" opening, ability to swivel and can hold small diameter pipe. It has a nice finish, jaws grip nicely and has great holding power. i have used it for sharpening my mower blades and holding small items to solder. It even has a small flat spot to use as an anvil. It's a good value for the money. ... show more

  • Everyone Has a Vice - This one is mine
I recently purchased a 6" cast iron multi-jaw vice with a 270-degree swivel base and a large anvil, and it has exceeded my expectations for my garage workbench use. The build quality of this vice is top-notch, with sturdy cast iron construction that ensures durability and longevity. The multi-jaw feature is incredibly convenient, allowing me to securely grip a wide range of materials, from small components to larger pieces. The 270-degree swivel base is a game-changer, enabling me to position my work at the perfect angle, making tasks easier and more efficient. The large anvil is a bonus for anyone who needs a solid surface for metalworking or general pounding tasks. It's a versatile addition to the vice, and I've found it extremely useful for shaping and flattening various materials. Installation was straightforward, and the vice feels rock-solid once mounted on my workbench. The operation is smooth, and the jaws grip tightly without any wobbling or play. Overall, this 6" cast iron multi-jaw vice with a 270-degree swivel base and large anvil is a fantastic addition to any workspace, whether in the office or the garage. It's a robust, versatile, and reliable tool that has greatly improved my ability to tackle a wide range of projects. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a quality vice for their workbench. ... show more

  • Vice functions smoothly.
Nice vice for home shop use. As you would infer from the price and size, this vice is inexpensively built. But it does function smoothly and seems to fit up nicely. It has all the functions you might expect including a swivel base, built-in “Anvil” and multiple jaws. It’s honestly a nice functioning vice, it’s just not built for heavy use. The jaws are removable and it has pipe jaws below the flat jaws. It has a nice finish on it with no bare spots. ... show more

  • A small, light-duty vice with a single swivel friction lock
This is an interesting small vice. The main body is similar in size and heft to a 4-1/2 inch wide jaw vice, however, the head has 6 inch wide jaws. The vice opens up to a usable 4-1/4" gap between the jaws. This is what I consider a light-duty vice. It is light in weight as well, with a fairly small cast body. It uses a steel lead-screw threaded into the cast base to move the jaw. The entire vice, exclusive of the two steel jaw inserts, is painted with a textured paint, including the anvil face, which is small and not hardened or flat ground. The vice has one critical design flaw in my opinion, that is, it only has a single bolt to tighten the swivel base. This proved to be problematic for me. No matter how tight I tightened the single swivel bolt, the vice would still swivel, which makes it inappropriate for my use. (I need a vice that can be used to hold metal as I bend it, which requires a positive swivel lock.) If you have meager needs, this vice may suffice. I found other vices on Amazon for less money that were heavier-duty, with a heftier body, a larger flat-ground anvil, and two swivel locks. ... show more

  • Medium duty vise great for most DIY projects
I've been using this for the past few months without any issues. The vise is well constructed and robust. The vise is pretty strong I was able to squeeze a headset into a bmx bike. The vise lever is a little small and does require some gloves to spread the pressure. The jaws do move smoothly and the lever does release easily. The anvil area is a little bit odd in that it's finished and has a bump. That is my only gripe with this vise. The anvil area should have been ground down and flat. Otherwise this is a great medium vise for the price. ... show more

  • Strong, medium duty bench mount swivel vise
This vise with 6” jaws and a flat anvil is perfect for home owners and professionals doing medium duty jobs. I use mine as a base for making AN cable runs. You can also get soft jaws on Amazon which will make the vise more versatile
