After buying 2 of the “blowmolded” pieces of junk you will also see on Amazon I purchased this Bemis raised toilet seat. IT IS THE BEST ONE YOU WILL FIND! The Bemis name meant a lot when it comes to QUALITY. This seat fits right, is built right and the grab handles are 2” further apart than the “ blowmolded” junk you will find out there. Not to mention the ability to flip it up for cleaning. The installation couldn’t have been easier, comes with everything you need. Did a lot of research before buying for my elderly sister. This unit goes on and comes off very easily. It is completely stable, as it has multiple supports under the seat and the shield keeps the gap between seat and bowl covered, so cleaner than other types. I bought the optional arms and like that I can use just one, as her bathroom is small. It is a great height and lots of room between arms for easy on and off. I’m an obese, disabled woman with severe back and knee pain (osteoarthritis and lumbar spinal stenosis). I’m going to have my second surgery soon, so I invested in this seat. I already needed a higher seat, and this one is fabulous…reduces strain and reduces stress going into surgery knowing I already have this at home. It supports over 300 pounds easily (can support up to 1,000), wipes clean perfectly, and I can still use my bidet with it! I removed the arm supports because it was too tight in the space, but I have support around the area (no problems). So, don’t freak out if you add the arm supports but then it won’t fit…they’re super duper easy to remove -just follow instructions. I’m a single woman (52 years old) and put it together myself when I was feeling energized and on pain medication. So, if I can do it…that says a lot about how easy it is to assemble and install. The assembly directions were on point and simple, and all parts were included. I highly recommend it! ... show more

Would have given 4.5 stars instead of 4 if that were an option. Got this for my husband post knee replacement surgery. So easy for me to install. Only challenge was reaching under the seat with the provided tool. Very awkward and can’t see but I managed. Solid, sturdy design. Fits our elongated toilet perfectly. Wish handles gave better support/ less wobbly when the seat is up for him standing to use toilet. Only had a little urine escape down the side of toilet once while seated. Could use a little longer splash guard in front but again, only happened once so far. Very pleased with the product. Cleans up easily as well. Highly recommend. ... show more

I was searching for this for my mother. I needed to raise her toilet height and provide grab bars. She can not mount grab bars on her walls around her toilet. I also thought she would appreciate the bidet feature. Most toilet risers I have seen with built in grab bars seem bulky with plastic that feels like it would hold germs. They also usually have a small toilet seat opening and don't fit without some wobble. This product met all our needs with a large opening that looks like a standard toilet seat and is easy to reach in for wiping yourself if needed. The water temperature without a heating feature was not that cold or shocking. It is nice that you can adjust the force of the bidet spray. I love that the riser hinges to lift up for cleaning the toilet. It was easy to install and there were no leaks even without using the teflon tape provided. I left the washer in place as it arrived in the T valve and there were no leaks. There was some spraying out the side initially but I had to remind my mother not to move around much while using the bidet. The splash guard works well for a female user. Overall an excellent value and quality especially if you consider buying these three features (riser, grab bars and bidet) separately. ... show more

My husband and I suffer from weak knees. We have the extra tall toilet but still too low. This seat is sooooo comfortable. My husband likes to read in the bathroom. I have a difficult time getting him out. The bidet is also exceptional. It is so easy to use and extremely effective. My only down point and I add this for those of use who may have explosive bowel movements. It is necessary to check the under side of the lid.
