It's inexpensive, easy to install, attractive (for a toilet seat), and doesn't loosen up and wiggle around. Being plastic, it's easy to clean and not vulnerable to icky stains or damage from cleaning with products containing bleach. My only issue is that it is not very ergonomic. If you (ahem) need to spend a bit more time on the throne, it makes your legs go numb - likely because the seat has a distinct edge as opposed to a rounded curve. It makes for a more modern looking, yet less comfortable seat. If you are the type that likes to bring reading material and linger (in my experience, that would be every man, ever!), I'd suggest you consider a different seat. For a guest bath, or for those that are quick in the bathroom, it's a very good toilet seat for the money. ... show more

Love Bemis plastic seats, have switched out many awful wood seats for these. Always a big improvement! Unlike wood seats, these are lightweight and don't stain.

Comfortable and super easy to install. It needs to be tightened almost daily which is a real pain. My biggest complaint is that the underside of the lower part of the seat has very shallow plastic feet. This means that the plastic sits directly on the porcelain bowl and when you go to lift the seat you can't avoid touching the bowl. Not very sanitary. I suspect it is designed this way to reduce the likelihood that the plastic will crack when you sit on it. By comparison wood composite seats are at least 1/4 inch above the porcelain. ... show more
