So this was a great purchase! I bought two of these coats both in black and XL and an XXL. I couldn't make up my mind but decided to keep the XXL because it fit over any of my outfits. The XL was good with items that were not heavy or sweaters, but I decided I wanted to try to order another XXL in a different color so I'd have black and hopefully a white one too. It is a soft comfortable fur coat. I always get complements on it and LOVE it. One of my favorite purchases of the new year! I do recommend this coat to anyone. This jacket is very warm and cozy. The faux fur on the outside is extremely soft, and from what I can tell so far it doesn't shed. It doesn't let much air in, so I would say it's more suitable for anywhere from a colder Fall day to a fairly cold Winter day. You will probably get the most use out of it from November - March. My only complaint is that the sleeves are a little too short on me. I am 5'9" - the length of the jacket hits me right at my hips, and the sleeves barely reach my wrists when my arms are straight down at my sides. So any movement in using my arms makes the sleeves shorten, and I find myself trying to pull them down. Overall a pretty and quality jacket! I debated whether or not to send this back. I'm 5'9", average build and usually wear a L. I opted for an XL for this item because I know overseas products can run small. Glad I did. The XL just barely fits, and even feels a bit too snug if I'm wearing a bulky sweater. So if in doubt, size up. I ordered the white, and it is definitely cream, not white. But the first day I wore it I got a compliment so that made me want to keep it (because yes, I'm shallow). It sheds ever so slightly. My cats shed WAY more than this coat ever will. It's very soft and surprisingly warm. I'm cold all the time, so having a warm jacket in Pennsylvania winters is important to me. Regarding fit, it's less than flattering in my opinion . Rather boxy, and cut awkwardly at mid-hip level (on me). The bottom edges just sort of end awkwardly, probably from being crammed in a plastic bag for goodness knows how long. As it 'settles' I'm hoping it lays nicer. If you're skinny, you'll look great in this jacket. If you're not skinny, maybe not so much (not judging at all, just giving you a head's up).
