I looked at the dimensions and measured my daughter's room, but it took up a lot more space. It is beautiful and she loves it but didn't expect the size. Also some of the metal fences were bent and extremely sharp. Over all definitely worth the price, it's nice abs bright and very sturdy. Assembly was pretty easy also my husband only needed help with the shelves.

I give this loft bed a 4 out of 5 for a few simple reasons: I ordered two of these and they both came in good condition to assemble. There were some slightly bent peices that took some real elbow grease to manipulate into place, but it ended up very sturdy! I've been on top both beds now (slightly overweight adult female) without worry that I'll be tipped off. There is slight wobble, but I have not anchored them to the wall yet. When laying and sleeping (my mother has slept in one already. She is smaller than me at 160lb), there is no sway or creaking when moving. Some of the metal mesh welds could be better. One on the shelf next to the mattress popped out of place due to having to manipulate the slightly bent shelf into place. It does take the weight though. I have many books on the shelf and it can hold much more. It's not even though. So don't plan on setting a glass of water on it without spilling. The mesh that makes up the shelf is a bit bubbled or indented. But again, sturdy. The rooms these are in have low ceilings (7ft) and there is enough room for me (5'4") to sit up on a 10 inch mattress. My bun is grazing the support poles when I sit on a typical chair underneath. I cannot think of anything more to say. This bed was far better than expected. I was prepared to return this if it measured up to the reviews. I'm glad I took a chance. Edit: I forgot to mention that these needs don't come with any extra hardware such as screws. So don't drop them! This also contributed to the 4 stars vs.5 :)

Even with everything tightened to a T, it's still a little wobbly. Great bed though, and created much needed space in 6 yo's bedroom.

I was able to build this bed in 2.5 hours ALONE simple by sorting out the parts and then following the instructions- but would have been easier and more fast with help. The bed isn’t too high like most loft beds, buts it’s not too low either. Allows plenty of space for storage and of course the shelves are perfect for shoes! Worth the price and barely any squeaks when my daughter is moving on it! Just get it.
