Picture includes a skull lace underskirt I made that isn't part of this skirt. Negatives: The material is a synthetic mix that makes it feel kind of like a wind breaker and does make that quiet swishing noise when it rubs against itself that those puffy winter coats make (but the skirt isn't as loud as those coats). The material is thinner and lighter weight than I expected but it is NOT see through even in direct sunlight. I've noticed in the winter the static can get pretty bad where it wants to cling to my legs or my tights. A petticoat with a silk liner or just a silk slip takes care of it. A petticoat also gives the skirt a bit more volume. Positives: The material actually is a really good thing if you have shedding animals because this is the only black thing I own that isn't covered in dog hair. The stretching waistband has a lot of give to it so if you're in between sizes you're safe to order this product and have it fit you. I love that is has pockets that are big enough for my phone and (small) wallet in one pocket together. I've had this skirt for months now and wear it regularly, the stitching and elastic have held up really great through numerous washes and events. Great for me but maybe not everyone: I'm about 5'3" and this skirt is above my ankle but only by a few inches. I love this length but it was a few inches longer than advertised so it's closer to an ankle length on me than a tea length.

Iโm 110lbs 5โ1 and ordered the XS. It fits like an XS is expected to. No gaping and stays in place. A small would have fit too, and may be more comfortable in the long run. However itโs not so tight that I plan to return. True XS.

I'm 5'4" and wear a size 6/8 and I ordered a medium. It fit me as excepted. The skirt really is beautiful and I got so many compliments on it on Christmas day. I only wish the fabric were a little higher quality. If it were a little thicker to hold it's shape a little better it would have been perfect.

Some companies want to SHOW quality pictures online and fail to meet expectations in person--this one looked good and felt good as well. The flow and quality of the skirt is great and now I know I WILL be ordering more at some point.

This skirt is super cute and really soft. It fit as expected and falls just as my calves. I am 5โ5 and 108 lb and the size S fits me just fine. The skirt seems to be in really good shape, no loose threading, but only time will tell.

This is the second skirt Iโve bought. The first was a burgundy/red and is a polyester fabric which is great for trips and lightweight. This time I got the green and black plaid. Itโs somewhat lightweight but a softer flannel fabric. I like them both. I bought the red one in an XXL last year when I was 240+ and it fit right (Iโm bottom heavy). I went down to the XL now that Iโm down - few pounds. I can wear both still, but the XL is more flattering now.

Update-Update: So I bought yet another one of these (Da*mn you Amazon, I should be able to review each color, especially since they are different materials!!!) I bought the "Red Floral". First, the background color is not white, it looks more like a dingy, dirty off-white. I was thinking this would be perfect for fall, but I can tell you, this dress is see-through BOTH the front and back side together when you hold it up to light. That's right, by grabbing the each side of the waist band and holding it up flat, I can see through 2 layers. This dress ABSOLUTELY NEEDS A LINING. If you have a slip with details on it, it will show through. The color is a deep orange-red, and there is not quite the variation of color the picture depicts. It's pretty much deep orange-red and brown on a dirty white background. Not the lovely print and good fabric I was hoping for. This one goes back too. Be careful what you buy. Some are great, but there is no way without a lining this dress is worth more than $30---Belle Poque be scammin' or dreamin'. Update 7/19/22: I just ordered 3 more of this skirt. I got the dark red solid, the red and navy plaid, and what I thought from the pictures was a pink/mauve plaid. All 3 plaids are the same material as my first review of the green and black plaid below, and the flannel feeling material. Even though it pilled a bit, on the green and black plaid (my first of this skirt), it's not really noticeable when I am out and about. I think the same will be true for the red and navy. HOWEVER, THE "PINK PLAID" IS NOWHERE NEAR PINKISH MAUVE AND CREAM COLOR the picture shows. It's dark red and tan. So disappointed in Belle Poque, because the pictures are NOT accurate with this one. I already have the solid dark red and the navy and dark red plaid, I don't need another dark red skirt. I wanted a pink plaid to change it up. This one will be going back due to false advertising. I hate the way Amazon only gives you only one review, even if you buy several different skirts. It's BS. I want to give the bad description skirt 1 or 2 stars, but the others are 4 to 5 stars. So...beware and look closely at pictures. Also, the solid red skirt is a thick polyester. It's fine as far as the material, however, the color is an odd red. It's not a bright red or deep scarlet red, but almost a deep tomato red (with hints of rust and orange in the color), which means it does not go with most red things. So finding accessories to match will be a nightmare. They should keep this details in mind when they choose fabric. Most people would want a bright red or scarlet red, which would give them more choice in terms of tops, sweaters, jackets and shoes. Now I have to buy some other thing to match this skirt. After the off colors of the "red floral," and the "mauve" plaid which is really burnt red and tan, and now this off color, that's three article of clothing that nothing will match. So even though the price is OK-ish, it's now expensive, because I have pay out more to have something to wear with these skirts, because I can't very well just wear the skirt alone with my bra out in public. Pity. Original Review: I have gotten several compliments on this (black/dark green plaid) skirt. It can be worn very high on the abdomen or at mid waist, because there is some elastic in the back which makes it versatile. Size chart is accurate, so take your measurements. But it's a flannel like fabric, and somewhat heavy, so it's definitely late fall, early spring and winter attire. Plus, it's already pilling just a little. You can only see it at this point up close, but I dread it may get worse. I just wish this skirt was a bit shorter. I am 5'7" tall and it hits me about 7" from the floor. It would be a great retro, 1950's look if it were tea length. I may hem it. I was hoping I could wear it late spring and summer, but it's too heavy for that. A crinoline really dresses it up, and I can say, with the correct layering a good long coat, it's really warm for cooler climates.
