I've never had an air dryer. As the notes say, this is small- holds 3 good size chicken legs. Also takes time to cook- not fast like a microwave, but faster than a full-size oven. I found a LIGHT coating of oil/butter crisps things up nicely. I live alone, but when cooking for 2 it's a bit small. Fish or shrimp are fine, chicken legs need two batches.
