I was happy with this purchase as there are a lot of useful features on the lights and I think they are a very good value. The different color temperatures (bicolor) are great, and mean that one doesn't need to mess with two sets of lights right out of the gate, but still can have different lighting options. The stands support the lights well, and are easy to set up. The size of the softboxes are better than many options at the same price point, easy to set up, have a silver interior, and they throw a lot of light which can be switched between the 4 settings for different intensities (warm, cool, strong, dim, etc.) The package they arrived in was smaller than I expected, light and easy to carry, and well organized. I also found the service folks very responsive to any questions or needs, and unusually pleasant, sensible and kind.

Easy setup, lights work great! The remote is very handy so you can tweak the lighting to suit your needs. The stands are lightweight, which is good for transporting, but note that as such, they may tip over if bumped.

for an entry level to mid set I was actually happy with the set for the cost the lights worked well with good features some reviews mention the tripods, of course they're light weight, medium duty does cost more, the included tripods are ok , if someone wants sturdier they can upgrade

I do a lot of television work, and in 2020 I got a set of two Yicoe soft lights for my video projects. (Here's the link to the Yicoe lights: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BDRNCC3C). I use these lights all the time -- pretty much daily -- and the bulb in one of the lights failed. I looked for replacement bulbs and found these BEIYANG bulbs, and a pair of bulbs came at a reasonable price. I wanted to replace both old bulbs, since the new ones probably are not an exact match for the color temperature of the old ones. It turned out that these BEIYANG bulbs are *exactly* the same as the original bulbs in the Yicoe lights, with a couple of minor exceptions. The BEIYANG bulbs are slightly smaller, and slightly lighter (7.6 oz. vs 8.9 oz.). A little smaller and lighter is fine with me. Otherwise, these BEIYANG bulbs work and look exactly the same as the original bulbs, right down to the remote control that they come with. The remote controls that came with the BEIYANG bulbs (one for each bulb) are *exactly* the same as the original remote controls that came with the Yicoe lights. Overall, the BEIYANG bulbs are not super bright, but they restored my two Yicoe soft lights to original operation... which I am very happy with. These lights work well for me on television projects -- and as I said, I use them nearly every day. As far as their compatibility with television, I've never had any flicker or hum bars when using the Yicoe lights, either with the original bulbs or with these BEIYANG replacements. As far as I can tell, they are exact replacements.

The box lights were brand new and quite easy to assemble and set up. The light bulbs themselves are sturdy and capable of very good lighting and options.

These lights are advertised as being 85 watt lights. Unfortunately, this is false advertisement. These lights are not even half of that. They have three power modes, 25%, 50%, and 100%. When using the daylight option at 100% it pulls 40w, 50% is 20w, and 25% is approx 7.5w. It creates daylight by turning on half cool LEDs, and half warm LEDs. So, this means if you just want cool or warm lighting, then the power consumption is half of what daylight uses. No where do these lights get anywhere near 85w consumption. Using a lux meter and a little math I was able to also work out that the lumen of these lights at 100% daylight is approx 1900-2200 lumens. For the power draw that's not very good tbh. As far as build quality goes, well, they're cheap. Made cheap, and sell cheap. About what you'd expect for a light kit under $100. Mine actually came with one of the lights dented and non functional. Had the lights actually functioned at their advertised power levels, then it would probably be acceptable and cheap at the same time. However, this is not acceptable. They aren't much brighter than some 22w flood bulbs I picked up locally. It's quite infuriating that foreign sellers constantly lie and misrepresent their products, and Amazon allows it. Reporting listings seems like a futile battle at this point. It's like playing a game of wack-a-mole, sure they might discipline the shop and remove the listing, but then another one will just pop up in it's place. Also this same light kit with a different name silk screened on the bag is sold by like 50 different sellers, and they all advertise it falsely as being 85w lights. So, what can you do? I guess either be okay with mediocre lights, or spend extra and buy something better. Amazon really has become a huge disappointment over the last 10 years. It's mostly just cheap imported generic products from east Asia anymore.
