I bought this for adding fruit to mead ferments, but used it for iced coffee brewing overnight in the fridge. It worked great for that. I have an old tea ball I swiped the hook and chain from to put on this strainer. It should have come with one but oh well. Still like it alot. Well made.

Perfect for dry hopping. Actually ordered a second one for when I have 2 batches fermenting. No issues and much clearer beer.

I bought this to infuse hot coffee. The mesh is a little coarse, it gets a little sludge in the bottom of the 1.5L pot. 1 star off because the description is not right. The mesh is described as "300 microns", which is ridiculous. 300 microns is almost 1/8". Maybe they meant "300 mesh", which is about .003". Other than that, it's a good product. I put ground coffee in it and drop it into a 1L beaker of hot water and let it sit very still for 20 minutes. I then gently remove the infuser. The coffee turns out good, and tastes fresh all day.

I actually use this as an infuser for my sun tea dispenser. I’ll fill it up with fresh fruit and let it sit in the refrigerator for a day to flavor the tea. My only complaint is that the threaded cap doesn’t easily thread onto the main assembly. Also, be careful when you twist the cap on/off. Make sure you hold the metal band at the top so you don’t twist the screen and deform it.

Wide opening and screw top makes it easy to add and remove hops, both pellet and leaf. It's large enough to handle quite a bit of hops. It's sturdy enough, but the mesh is fine and you'll want to handle it with care. The chain with the hook makes it easy to hang from a kettle (if you so choose) or a fermenting bucket. Can also use it to add hops to sun tea, hops water, etc. Cleans easily.

Works well for up to 4oz pellets. Beyond that you may not get optimal contact/saturation with your wort. Screens are a bit flimsy and deform quite a but when unscrewing the lid.
