I was extremely skeptical of the whole "mini PC" thing. I have been eyeing the Beelink brand computers for a while and decided to pull the trigger on this model. I bought this computer to replace an aging Windows desktop that I have used for music production for the last 15 years. This computer is an absolute powerhouse for what I am using it for. It can handle all of my plugins and VST instruments with ease. No hiccups, no freezing, and no issues running any of my software applications. The Ryzen 7 processor is extremely fast and efficient. The 32 GB of RAM makes everything run flawlessly. I initially bought a different model and ended up returning it before even opening the box because I liked that this model had an external power supply. The other model had an internal power supply and I had read that it struggled under load because of how weak the power supply was. I liked this computer enough to purchase the same model for my son for his first computer. He can play all of the games that he likes to play without any issues (Roblox, Minecraft, Mech Arena). The small form factor is nice so that it doesn't take up a ton of space and this PC is extremely quiet and the metal construction is very slick looking. Beelink has a very nice design going with their models. Everything is built into this computer, so I no longer needed to have a wifi adapter or Bluetooth dongle taking up USB ports on the computer. The Wi-Fi is really fast and the number of display options for this computer is really impressive. I have it plugged into an HP docking station that has 2 27-inch displays connected. It is amazing how quiet this thing is and is a major upgrade from my old Dell desktop that I was using. Beelink has made upgrading this computer easy, however, I don't think I will need to upgrade anything anytime soon. 32GB of RAM seems more than enough for what I am using it for. The fact that this computer can handle up to 256GB of RAM is pretty impressive. Beelink also did a fantastic job on the presentation and boxing of the unit. The package that came from Amazon was nice and the way everything included was presented when you opened the box made it feel like it was premium. 9/10 - would buy it again. The only thing I would have liked to see would have been a longer power adapter cable. It was slightly shorter than expected. Maybe an extra foot would have been nice. I use the computer with a standing desk and when you raise the desk to maximum height, it puts tension on the computer. ... show more

I’d been looking for an upgrade to my pc and came across mini pc’s so I started doing some research. Wanting to save a little room, these seemed to be just what I was looking for. Out of all my research, a few names kept standing out with Beelink being among those. I wanted something that could handle some light gaming-WoT, Division 2-as well as 3D printing software/slicers, YouTube, watching movies, etc. The SER8 was just what I was looking for. To be small it’s got a good heft to it, not heavy but weighty and it looks and feels well built. The fan is quiet and I’ve had to check several times to see if it was working. It came with zero bloatware, was easy to get up and running, and handles the games I play (again, Division 2, Dying Light 2, the Farcry series, WoT/WoWs) with ease and doesn’t lag at all. I needed another computer something not too expensive and had the speed and power to be a gaming computer but not necessarily going to game on it for now. This is a great little computer that fills that niche. Absolutely love switching from Intel to AMD Ryzen for the processor even after being an hardcore Intel fan. I feel AMD Ryzen is the netter processor in the market. It is a powerhouse for such a small footprint and I already had other monitors and keyboard mouse, so not bad for a full set up. Initial impressions are good minus what seems to be shotty bluetooth. I have a small portable BT kb that I have connected to it, and it was very choppy to work unless I turned next to me and held it right by the device. I am only at most 4ft away from the mini pc. This didn't matter much after I got the remote connection software installed, but still something to be mindful of. Other than that, so far so good. I attached a 4tb ext SSD to the top of the case using a command strip as I plan to make this a retro emulation machine. The fact this is the price it is with the AMD cpu and 32gb ram is nice. Updating the bios was a breeze, especially if your used to doing that on other PCs already. Win11 did give me a little issue at first with the preloaded image, but after a couple reboots, everything worked flawlessly. Later on I might decide to upgrade the the ram from 32gb to 64gb and possibly the wifi / bt card if possible. I would like Wifi 6E. If its not upgradable however, that's okay as I do use it via ethernet. Speeds on ethernet are good also. ... show more

5.0/5.0 I've owned quite a few Beelink products at this point and have never been let down. This is my 9th one which was a present for my nephew who uses it to do online gaming, steam, etc. He absolutely loves it. It is very quiet, easily portable, fast as heck, super easy to get setup, the housing is very strong and durable, both the wi-fi and LAN connect to multiple routers with no problem, and is very upgradeable. It can accept up to 128GB of RAM (not the claimed 256GB. The 256GB is based off of a 4 DIMM configuration and the SER8nonly has 2 DIMM slots for 128GB maximum.), though that is ridiculously expensive for this setup. 32GB is adequate even for gaming. I left it setup as 16GB for VRAM and 16GB for the system. I'd prefer a bit more, either 48GB or 64GB. It also has room for 2 NVMe drives, so there is a 2nd free one for expanded storage space. The 4TB SN7100 is my choice and is currently only $210. This would be great for an every day PC, Steam and other online gaming (not AAA titles), and HTPC. You could add a 2nd 2.5GB LAN through TB4 for only $20 (cable matters) 6o do some fun networking projects like VPN passthrough. Though wish a 2nd LAN was built into this one. So far it’s been Amazing ! I received this pc yesterday and have been able to play my fav games. I downloaded Blacks Ops 6 which did take a few hours to download but it handled the game so well. I love this computer ! Such a game changer and even better that it was on sale! It’s company and doesn’t take a lot of space at all. It’s quiet and has a good fan to keep it from getting hot.     • Abysmal wireless reception kills an otherwise solid mini.

The machine is fast enough for media center usage, but the wifi reception is abysmal. Bluetooth is terrible as well, constant dropouts and heavy lag with an xbox controller unless you were within only a couple feet of the computer. Had this little guy for about 5-6 months now? Perfect machine that is small but has power. Mainly what I look for is for speed and delay when it comes to getting machine and this one has been great so far. For my main machine I have a MSI Katana 15 (AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS, 32gs of DDR5 and RTX 4060) and this machine runs on par with that when it comes to daily use and even processing power. Would recommend, getting a better deal here then going with Dell, HP or really any of the major brands (they usually screw you over tbh) ... show more
