I was extremely skeptical of the whole "mini PC" thing. I have been eyeing the Beelink brand computers for a while and decided to pull the trigger on this model. I bought this computer to replace an aging Windows desktop that I have used for music production for the last 15 years. This computer is an absolute powerhouse for what I am using it for. It can handle all of my plugins and VST instruments with ease. No hiccups, no freezing, and no issues running any of my software applications. The Ryzen 7 processor is extremely fast and efficient. The 32 GB of RAM makes everything run flawlessly. I initially bought a different model and ended up returning it before even opening the box because I liked that this model had an external power supply. The other model had an internal power supply and I had read that it struggled under load because of how weak the power supply was. I liked this computer enough to purchase the same model for my son for his first computer. He can play all of the games that he likes to play without any issues (Roblox, Minecraft, Mech Arena). The small form factor is nice so that it doesn't take up a ton of space and this PC is extremely quiet and the metal construction is very slick looking. Beelink has a very nice design going with their models. Everything is built into this computer, so I no longer needed to have a wifi adapter or Bluetooth dongle taking up USB ports on the computer. The Wi-Fi is really fast and the number of display options for this computer is really impressive. I have it plugged into an HP docking station that has 2 27-inch displays connected. It is amazing how quiet this thing is and is a major upgrade from my old Dell desktop that I was using. Beelink has made upgrading this computer easy, however, I don't think I will need to upgrade anything anytime soon. 32GB of RAM seems more than enough for what I am using it for. The fact that this computer can handle up to 256GB of RAM is pretty impressive. Beelink also did a fantastic job on the presentation and boxing of the unit. The package that came from Amazon was nice and the way everything included was presented when you opened the box made it feel like it was premium. 9/10 - would buy it again. The only thing I would have liked to see would have been a longer power adapter cable. It was slightly shorter than expected. Maybe an extra foot would have been nice. 5.0/5.0 I've owned quite a few Beelink products at this point and have never been let down. This is my 9th one which was a present for my nephew who uses it to do online gaming, steam, etc. He absolutely loves it. It is very quiet, easily portable, fast as heck, super easy to get setup, the housing is very strong and durable, both the wi-fi and LAN connect to multiple routers with no problem, and is very upgradeable. It can accept up to 128GB of RAM (not the claimed 256GB. The 256GB is based off of a 4 DIMM configuration and the SER8nonly has 2 DIMM slots for 128GB maximum.), though that is ridiculously expensive for this setup. 32GB is adequate even for gaming. I left it setup as 16GB for VRAM and 16GB for the system. I'd prefer a bit more, either 48GB or 64GB. It also has room for 2 NVMe drives, so there is a 2nd free one for expanded storage space. The 4TB SN7100 is my choice and is currently only $210. This would be great for an every day PC, Steam and other online gaming (not AAA titles), and HTPC. You could add a 2nd 2.5GB LAN through TB4 for only $20 (cable matters) 6o do some fun networking projects like VPN passthrough. Though wish a 2nd LAN was built into this one. So far this mini PC has worked reasonably well and is decently fast. I am not using it for gaming so I can't comment on gaming performance. For a general purpose PC it seems to do well. I was surprised to see it come pre-installed with Windows 11 Pro and I have also added a second nvme drive with Linux. This little pc is awesome! Bought for my daughter who plays Roblox and Minecraft with the occasional REPO game. Haven’t tested Call of Duty though. This PC runs smoothly and can handle a game and discord at the same time unlike her old PC. Having up-to-date ports made connecting monitors, mouse and keyboard much easier. I got this to replace my older gen i7 laptop. This little thing runs circles around that old processor. I frequently use video editing software. On the older i7, it took hours to render the final movie. This Ryzen screams through the processing in just a couple of minutes. The machine is fast enough for media center usage, but the wifi reception is abysmal. Bluetooth is terrible as well, constant dropouts and heavy lag with an xbox controller unless you were within only a couple feet of the computer. Stay away this Beelink SER8 Mini PC. Defective. I had bad day all day. I had big trouble with it. 1) One game won't go to play but finally I fixed it in hell longer hours. 2) Bluetooth not show. I had to fix and work it. 3) Blue death - alot. 4) Windows 11 OEM ? I have not check. 5) I noticed some apps are missing in Windows after installed Win 11 from mini PC. 6) Factory reset refused to do resetting on both windows and safe mode. 7) BIOS doesn't have "virtualization" or other for disable in factory reset. Finally, I deleted my apps and game because no way for factory reset. Big Crazy day. It is Defective. I decided to take it back. Unhappy. I am going to buy different brand mini PC. I will pay few hundred dollars more. I will buy Windows 11 Pro Retail not OEM. I think Win 11 are many problem on this mini PC. I am not sure. ... show more
