I was extremely skeptical of the whole "mini PC" thing. I have been eyeing the Beelink brand computers for a while and decided to pull the trigger on this model. I bought this computer to replace an aging Windows desktop that I have used for music production for the last 15 years. This computer is an absolute powerhouse for what I am using it for. It can handle all of my plugins and VST instruments with ease. No hiccups, no freezing, and no issues running any of my software applications. The Ryzen 7 processor is extremely fast and efficient. The 32 GB of RAM makes everything run flawlessly. I initially bought a different model and ended up returning it before even opening the box because I liked that this model had an external power supply. The other model had an internal power supply and I had read that it struggled under load because of how weak the power supply was. I liked this computer enough to purchase the same model for my son for his first computer. He can play all of the games that he likes to play without any issues (Roblox, Minecraft, Mech Arena). The small form factor is nice so that it doesn't take up a ton of space and this PC is extremely quiet and the metal construction is very slick looking. Beelink has a very nice design going with their models. Everything is built into this computer, so I no longer needed to have a wifi adapter or Bluetooth dongle taking up USB ports on the computer. The Wi-Fi is really fast and the number of display options for this computer is really impressive. I have it plugged into an HP docking station that has 2 27-inch displays connected. It is amazing how quiet this thing is and is a major upgrade from my old Dell desktop that I was using. Beelink has made upgrading this computer easy, however, I don't think I will need to upgrade anything anytime soon. 32GB of RAM seems more than enough for what I am using it for. The fact that this computer can handle up to 256GB of RAM is pretty impressive. Beelink also did a fantastic job on the presentation and boxing of the unit. The package that came from Amazon was nice and the way everything included was presented when you opened the box made it feel like it was premium. 9/10 - would buy it again. The only thing I would have liked to see would have been a longer power adapter cable. It was slightly shorter than expected. Maybe an extra foot would have been nice. I use the computer with a standing desk and when you raise the desk to maximum height, it puts tension on the computer.

The seller shipped faster than expected. I was impressed. The SER8 works well and delivers great performance for its price. The only issue was with USB 3.2 port at the back. My external HDDs pick on and off when plugged in there. But my wireless mouse and keyboard USB recievers work well with that port without issues. All in all, don't sleep on this, buy it. It's a good piece of design and engineering.

Initial impressions are good minus what seems to be shotty bluetooth. I have a small portable BT kb that I have connected to it, and it was very choppy to work unless I turned next to me and held it right by the device. I am only at most 4ft away from the mini pc. This didn't matter much after I got the remote connection software installed, but still something to be mindful of. Other than that, so far so good. I attached a 4tb ext SSD to the top of the case using a command strip as I plan to make this a retro emulation machine. The fact this is the price it is with the AMD cpu and 32gb ram is nice. Updating the bios was a breeze, especially if your used to doing that on other PCs already. Win11 did give me a little issue at first with the preloaded image, but after a couple reboots, everything worked flawlessly. Later on I might decide to upgrade the the ram from 32gb to 64gb and possibly the wifi / bt card if possible. I would like Wifi 6E. If its not upgradable however, that's okay as I do use it via ethernet. Speeds on ethernet are good also.

Very nice to have a powerful, compact and quiet desktop. The triple monitor display uses 3 different ports, so you may need an adapter. I need to replace my old towers which can't be upgraded to Windows 11, so this uses less energy and is more powerful.

Stay away this Beelink SER8 Mini PC. Defective. I had bad day all day. I had big trouble with it. 1) One game won't go to play but finally I fixed it in hell longer hours. 2) Bluetooth not show. I had to fix and work it. 3) Blue death - alot. 4) Windows 11 OEM ? I have not check. 5) I noticed some apps are missing in Windows after installed Win 11 from mini PC. 6) Factory reset refused to do resetting on both windows and safe mode. 7) BIOS doesn't have "virtualization" or other for disable in factory reset. Finally, I deleted my apps and game because no way for factory reset. Big Crazy day. It is Defective. I decided to take it back. Unhappy. I am going to buy different brand mini PC. I will pay few hundred dollars more. I will buy Windows 11 Pro Retail not OEM. I think Win 11 are many problem on this mini PC. I am not sure.

The machine is fast enough for media center usage, but the wifi reception is abysmal. Bluetooth is terrible as well, constant dropouts and heavy lag with an xbox controller unless you were within only a couple feet of the computer. The aluminum case is beautiful, but is it the source of these issues? I love my SER5, but this SER8 just misses.

This PC is about the size of a frozen potpie, about 5in square and yet it is more powerful than most computers just five years old. A very fast no problem computer that fits anywhere. This is the future of computers.
