  • Tiny, Affordable, and Shockingly Capable – Perfect for Everyday Use or Light Gaming
Size: SER5 16G/500G/5500U
I’ve used the Beelink SER5 with a Ryzen 7 5800U as my main desktop PC for the past two years, and it honestly exceeded my expectations in just about every way. While I recently upgraded to an M4 Mac Mini for a bit more performance, the SER5 Pro held its own for a long time—and I still plan to keep using it in a secondary role. Let me break down what makes this mini PC worth the price: Performance For a system this small and affordable, the performance is impressive. With a few upgrades (I added a larger SSD and extra RAM), it became even more capable. It handles: Web browsing and media consumption effortlessly Light gaming without overheating or throttling Photo editing and basic productivity work without a hitch No, it won’t replace a high-end workstation or gaming rig, but for everyday computing or creative tasks, this system delivers. Expandability One of the standout features is how easy it is to upgrade the storage and RAM. You don’t need to be an expert to pop it open and swap in a bigger NVMe SSD or add more memory, which makes it a great long-term investment—especially if you’re trying to get the most bang for your buck. Ports & Connectivity The port selection is more than generous for a machine this size. You get: USB-A and USB-C ports (though some are mounted upside down, which takes getting used to) Multi-Monitor Support An Ethernet port for fast, stable connections Whether you're building a minimalist dual-screen setup or plugging in peripherals, this thing holds up well. Form Factor & Build The small footprint is perfect for desk setups where space is at a premium. You can place it behind a monitor, under a shelf, or even mount it using VESA if your display supports it. The fan runs quietly, and the unit never got overly hot during my use. Future Plans Now that I’ve transitioned to another system, I plan to use the SER5 as a home server or media box. It’s ideal for that kind of role—low power consumption, stable performance, and enough flexibility to keep it relevant. Final Thoughts If you're looking for a reliable, compact, and affordable PC that can handle day-to-day tasks, light creative work, or casual gaming, the Beelink SER5 is a fantastic choice. With some simple upgrades, it becomes even more powerful. The only real downside is the awkward USB orientation, but that’s a small inconvenience in the bigger picture. Highly recommended for students, casual users, or anyone looking to build an efficient, space-saving desktop setup without overspending. ... show more

  • So far it's great!
Size: SER5 16G/500G/5500U
Size an ashtray, pulling 45 watts and able to run WoW, Skyrim, Second Life, and many others at a really good rate. Seemed too good to be true. And I read a breakdown review that showed the memory and SSD to be a well known good brand. I waited a couple months to see if it was going to hold together, and it's been flawless so far. Booting to login in 13 seconds, silent and cool so far in every situation. If I get a couple years out of it I will have gotten good value, and if it's still around after that, it's a steal. Edit after 18 months: Still going strong, zero problems! ... show more

  • Bang for your buck
Size: SER5 16G/500G/5500U
Fast, reliable computer that runs all the games I like to play at 1080p without issue, some of them even play well in 4k (the binding of Isaac, project zomboid, civ6). For work, answering emails and running excel is a breeze. Comes with a clean install of windows 11 pro— no debloating required. The machine is quiet and doesn’t draw a ridiculous amount of power, and no wifi related issues either. Overall I am very satisfied with this computer considering the affordable price and ease of use. ... show more

  • Excellent, almost silent computer once you change a couple settings.
Size: SER5 16G/500G/5500U
This computer with a couple modifications suits my needs perfectly. I bought the Ryzen 7 5825U version with the hope that it would be fast enough for moderate computer use and very light 3D tasks while at the same time being as quiet as possible. You can just barely hear the fan while the computer sits at idle and it does make some noise when the processor loads up which I found annoying. In consultation with AI, I tried changing the windows 11 "power plan" from balanced to power saving and tweaking a couple other settings and this helped immensely. I never hear the fan spool up while using the device and have not noticed the computer slowing down at all. Also note that for some reason the computer by default reserves 4GB of ram for graphics. This is excessive for a 16 GB windows 11 machine unless you have a very specific use case. You can change this in the BIOS, look for UMA Frame Buffer. I am using 1GB which is working quite well even for light 3D CAD work. Lastly the only disappointing thing and the reason for only 4 stars was the included wifi card. I did a clean install of windows 11 and it did not have the driver for the mediatek wifi. Beelink support tried a couple times to get me the driver but it never worked. In the interest of saving time and effort, I ended up buying an Intel AX210 card which was relatively cheap, well reviewed, and worked straight away. ... show more
