Soft soft like Sherpa. Lightweight but warm and bigger than a throw but perfect for my bed. Good deal ! It covers the whole bed it's just I had it folded in half in the picture I posted. I washed it and there is no shrinkage or shedding.

I will admit that I was a little worried at first because it appeared so small when I took it out. It's not big and fluffy like I wanted but I kind of knew that going by reviews. It's thin but still nice as far as laying on the bed and throwing something over us. I just wish it was a little longer. My son is 5'11" and laid on our guest bed, pulled this blanket over him, and was frustrated it wouldn't stay over his feet. It's not very warm either. It's mostly just a lightweight throw and honestly more for just looks on the bed we have. I don't think I'll wash this one because of how thin it is. It's not shedding on the bed I have it on so that's good. For what I needed it for (decoration on a bed), I think it's pretty great. I was hoping for warm and fluffy. While placing this order I thought to myself that I was going to hate this blanket despite so many positive reviews. Well, I was wrong, happily. First, the blanket color I chose is nearly an exact match to my velvet couch. 2nd, the length of the blanket is long enough to cover the cushions from end to end thereby saving my beautiful couch from the dogs. Ummmm this is the best blanket. I’m always cold and I’ve recently bought new bedding with new colors. This color is gorgeous but I cannot get over how soft and warm it is! I like this blanket so much I actually bought it twice. It’s relatively high quality and feels super soft to the touch. I do wish it was just a tad bit thicker, but that’s not enough of an issue for me to complain about. It has improved my overall comfort and sleep quality by at least 20%.
