I paid $33.59 for this item on 10/23/23 and I’ve since increased my initial rating from 4 to 5 stars. Quick review ratings Quality: 4.5 out of 5 stars Effectiveness: 4.9 Value: 5.0 Satisfaction: 4.9 Short review highlights: I like how this blanket came tightly sealed in an airtight vacuum-packed clear plastic bag, assuring product integrity of first use from the factory. I like how this blanket is very soft and plush and feels really nice to the touch. I like how it’s constructed to be warm and is warm just as a regular blanket without any power at all. I like how the controls are simple/effective and how the 3hr default timer is set intuitive for most use I like how the highest heat setting seems sufficient even when really cold, and that it heats up fast helping to better thaw out my feet that can get cold as ice. I like how being a shorter throw model doesn’t take away from it’s effectiveness and that its smaller size even helps make it easier to manage. I like how upon ordering that the manufacturer emailed me guidelines for safe use/operation I like how other than the big plastic sticker they put on it that there’s very little that I don’t like. Long review details Although this blanket is very soft and plush, it’s thin enough that you can still easily mold it to follow your shape. But with it’s construction being on the thin side, you are reminded that it is indeed an electric blanket because you can feel the heating cables within it's build which start their inlaid pattern at about 10 inches inward from the outer most edge/border, but I haven’t found the feel of them to be at all off-putting either. I didn’t like that some spots seemed to heat up more than others but over all that’s also pretty minor and that most importantly it does warm up quickly. I also didn’t like that the handheld controller itself tends to heat up a bit when on the higher settings adding some worry to its safety but I’ve been using it for over a year now and haven’t had issues otherwise; and, I found you don’t have to keep it on high for very long, just to warm up quickly before setting it lower. For more precaution I initially got in the habit of hanging my controller from a hook hung off my bed side dresser drawer which helps give it adequate space to "hang out and be cool" and that does seem to help it dissipate heat better; but I also often use it while on the couch with the controller right on top of me or with it sometimes ending up off to the side or even under me, but still haven’t had any issues. This is the throw size model and I like that its smaller in terms of size management because while I'm also using other regular blankets with this (only when its really cold, and when I might lay one blanket on top of this one to better hold the heat in) on my lower half to add more heat where it’s needed most for my legs and especially my feet that can often get cold as ice, and this really helps with that. I do often use it on the couch but either way I always use it with a flannel sheet which not only works well for adding extra warmth but better helps to distribute the heat and has also been very effective in keeping it cleaner longer and so effective that I haven't had to wash it yet. This is surely not a perfect product, nor at this price point is it made of the highest standard or quality in comparison to models more expensive, but despite that its issues have been minor, and it’s been working really well for me over what's been now its second cold season or second year and it’s still keeping me warm at night. Will update if any of this changes, but again, it's going into its second year of daily use (when it’s cold), and I can recommend it with a full five stars.

Who knew a blanket could be a game changer!

I don't usually write product reviews but this electric blanket has exceeded every expectation and then some! It is super lightweight yet so cuddly and soft. One side is a luxurious faux fur and the other is a soft Sherpa fleece type material. And the heat is perfection...consistent and 6 levels of heat intensity plus a preheat setting, and offers plenty of timers for max customization. Super easy to install. Will be buying the throw size for my couch! Excellent purchase!!

This electric throw is soft and heats evenly. It’s the perfect size to use while sitting in the recliner or lounging on the couch. It has different heat and timer settings. Only complaint is I wish the cord for the controller part was a little bit longer. Overall, I would buy again.

This blanket is very soft. It heats well, and maintained its structure when I washed it before using. It does take a long time to dry. I got the king size for my Queen size bed to make sure it would cover us both and it does do that. It's very warm even without the heat turned on.

Lasted 3 Usage - Ordered another from them

The blanket worked super hot for 3 nights, then the setting stopped short of number 2 setting, out of the 6 setting. The material was super soft but it lasted only 3 useage. Customer service was responsive but not helpful. Returned the blanket and ordered another one from the same company. The second time, the blanket was amazing and I was even fine with the setting on 1 and 2 during cold nights.

Very plush blanket for those days when the cold just will not let up

After a previous heated blanket that I had stopped working for me, I began the search for a replacement. After reading the reviews on this particular blanket, I decided to pull the proverbial trigger on this one. And I have not regretted it ever since. This blanket can get pretty hot, that is if that is your cup of tea. For myself, I did not turn the heat past level 3 & that was perfect for my needs. Plus the blanket itself is oh so soft. I feel like a little kid when getting under this blanket. It is a joy to drift off to la la land in this product. Extremely plush material and soft to the touch. I'm really glad that I bought this blanket. I hope that it lasts for years to come.

Too expensive for quality of blanket

I have spent hours researching electric blankets and still can not find the ideal blanket for the price. This was my last try of several blankets and it did not make the grade. I examined the quality and compared it to two other electric blankets. One of the other blankets was similar in price and good quality, but I do not care for the controls and the control did not stay lit. In my opinion every blanket should have some dim light on indicating the blanket is on. The other blanket I compared it to was approx 50 dollars less than this one. The quality of the 50 dollar one was better than the Bedsure. The control was simple with on/off and cycled through heat control and remained lit. The taupe color of Bedsure is pretty and looks like pretty good quality. However it was shedding a lot around the edges and the blanket has a bad chemical smell. The Sherpa side is extremely thin and flimsy to the point I would not expect it to last very long so I would question the washability. The description on this item says the Sherpa has 200 GSM, Grams per sq meter which indicated it was of mid weight. I find this very misleading. The quality of this blanket is not priced according to the quality one would expect at the current price range. However, I must say other manufacturers would benefit greatly if they would design their electric blanket controls similar to Bedsure. The blanket did heat up quickly and easy to understand the controls. The dim light remains on indicating the blanket is on and you can easily see the settings. If the quality of the blanket was comparable to the other blankets I would have stayed with the Bedsure. The one I kept was the Beauty Rest because it was actually less expensive with a small discount and has a 5 year warranty and much better quality. I do not care for the controls but I settled for quality blanket that heats up. I also kept the inexpensive blanket 50 dollars which was a great price and better quality blanket than the Bedsure with no frills controls. I hope someone reads this and will improve these items for the consumer.
