I'm not using the mobile app because I'm using the tracker with the fitness program I'm doing. I did look at it though, and it's simple to use. But there isn't a separate workout profile for walking. There's only running or treadmill which won't account for hills and such if you're hiking. So I assume you have to use running to walk outside. As far as the device itself, I like it. It fit well with little adjustment, which was a surprise as a wider person. The two light system is easy to understand and see if you have it on right. My only concern is there wasn't any guidance pertaining to how to clean the thing with as much sweat as it comes in contact with.

Overall, the Tickr works fine. It was my first HRM, and after a while, I found that certain aspects of using it made me want to try other brands to see if that's just the way HRM works, or something specific to the Tickr. Switched to Polar, and all of the quirks about the Tickr went away. 1. Tickr takes a while to display accurate heart rate, especially in winter 2. Tickr can be flaky after I changed the battery, I'd have to futz with it for a couple of weeks to get it working correctly. I mean, It's a freaking battery change, wth? Both of those quirks went away with the Polar.

I've traditionally used Garmin HR monitor straps. I still feel that they are more comfortable. The Wahoo strap makes my back itch and is more rigid/large in the front. I purchased this because I needed a dual band strap to interface with two different devices at the same time. Garmin equivalent devices cost more, so this one won. I do not regret my purchase in spite of the minor complaints above.

I use it when I bike outside or on the trainer inside. It pairs with the Cyclemeter app perfectly. I suppose it measures my heart rate accurately, I would say it’s close enough to measure calories burned effectively. I would highly recommend this hr monitor to track your fitness.

The battery saved my race. I was getting ready to ride a race when one of the batteries in my shifter died. Fortunately, Sram shifters use the same battery as this HRM so I was able to swap it out and do the race. This is the only time the heart rate monitor didn't work perfectly, otherwise, it's been rock solid.

I use this monitor 2 - 4 times week for long rides. This is the third one that I have owned. They are reliable and have a long battery life. It is one of the few items that I use regularly that just works. I don't have to mess with it. The most recent one purchased had a defect in the battery cover. The company has online support that is prompt and appropriate. They sent me a replacement right away. Solid.

Got this for my indoor cycling setup. I really like when you snap it on the HR seems to turn on. I have the Garmin on for running, and the batteries seem to run down fairly quickly. I am thinking with this monitor the batteries will last longer because of this feature. Anyway, it works great. Signal seems to be strong and accurate. Great price too.
