If your bed sinks in too much but you need to save for a new bed this is the perfect way to hold you over. I was super skeptical on seeing if it would help but it is so comfortable and the firmness helps me not feel my actual bed. The smell is there for sure but I sprayed Febreeze during the two days it was expanding out. That got rid of the issue quickly. 100% recommend.

This is for the 4” firm double-layer mattress topper. The seller’s description of “firm support but it still hugs you” is spot on. You sink a little, it raises up to fill in your curves a little, so you don’t feel as much sag difference between your heavier and lighter body parts. I have been looking for this kind of topper for years. I like toppers that are supportive because they last longer for overweight/obese bodies, they have less movement/dipping when sleeping with another person or pet, and they do a better job of keeping pressure points/sensitive body parts from feeling the coils in the mattress (which is a big problem for people with Fibromyalgia). I also feel like these toppers sleep cooler because you aren’t sinking as far into them equally deep softer toppers, so air moves around you better. These toppers also recover their shape and support/firmness/flatness faster than most thick gel-infused foam toppers that can take a long time to cool off and rebound. (For example, when I first go to bed the gel-infused foam can feel great but by the middle of the night I can feel the mattress coils again and have to find a completely different part of the mattress to sleep for hours before I can go back to my original spot. Whereas this kind of foam can fully rebound after 5-10 minutes of directing cool air from the fan at the spot and then it’s just as comfortable as when I got into bed at the beginning of the night.) When you first start using a firmer topper like this is can feel too hard. It’s kind of like when you get a new mattress. It takes your body time to adjust to the very different body posture. For me that break-in period is 1-2 weeks because of my chronic pain issues. I did buy this in the queen size and it is just slightly wider than my hybrid mattress, but I may need to trim off about half an inch on the length. I’d much rather have this issue than most toppers I have used in the past aren’t cut large enough to fully cover the mattress (which gets even more noticeable when there’s two people sleeping on it). The foam outgassing process also seemed to be much less intense and the smell didn’t last long. The topper expanded to full thickness in less than 12 hours. Packaging was nice and I appreciated the enclosed safety shielded letter opener to help cut the plastic bags safely and quickly.

I'll make this short and sweet; ***If you live south of the Mason Dixon line, even if your home is a constant 68 degrees like mine is, DO NOT BUY! It it like laying on BarBque grill in a swamp, in the middle of summer! HOT AND HUMID (even if you just use a light sheet) and there is nothing but paint on/in this to make it look purdy, it is NOT cooling gel. ***Speaking of Paint-Yes it smells just like paint, maybe with some other nasty chemicals mixed in. So much for the certification. I had to vomit after just a quick try-out, it's THAT bad. ***Out of the packaged the bottom cheap regular foam has 2-3 inch areas where it is separating from their supposed memory gel foam. And of course TONS of shiny clear glue on it all. I AM THE QUEEN of having memory foam beds, pillows, and cushions and have owned them since they first hit the market. This has some memory foam, but there is something else mixed in it that makes it scratchy and HOT, that is NOT cooling gel. ***Its both firm and soft. The longer you lay in it, the more it sucks you in, to the point you cannot easily turn from side to side or get up and down with ease,or without great effort and pain, its a BATTLE to get in and out of bed. I've had other toppers that were a joy to own, this isn't one of them. *** I will keep it and maybe make some wheelchair butt cushions out of it, because there is no way you are getting this thing back in a box to return it-so I of course feel ripped off. ***Another scam product brought to you courtesy of Bezo's China. ***Might work for you, but considering how much exp. I have memory foam and cooling gel from several beds to toppers to pillows, this is low class, trailer trash, right out of a dumpster C*ap, and probably dangerous, garbage. DO NOT USE WITH ELDERS OR CHILDREN, there is a real suffocation risk and inability to get moving in a hurry in case of emergency. We need more MADE IN AMERICA sellers who CARE about safety and the products they sell. Not this imported trash that the sellers LIE about.
