I have been using this lamp for a few months now. It provides a nice soft glow, bright enough for reading but not so bright that it is annoying. For my purposes it is just about the right size for a bedside lamp. The pull chain is easy enough to access that I can still manage to turn it off after I wake up and discover I fell asleep while reading. To be honest I forgot that the base had USB charging ports until I just re-read the description. I suppose this is due to the fact that my bedside table also has USB charging ports that I was already using. But you just can't have too many USB charging ports! I would only change a couple of things. Fist, it comes with an incandescent bulb. IMHO these are obsolete so either ship it with an LED bulb or nothing. Second, I would like the shade could be a little sturdier. It really isn't that flimsy, but I tend to knock it off the table from time to time. So far it has held up fairly well, so this is really a minor consideration. Overall I am satisfied with this lamp and would buy it again. ... show more

I ordered this lamp for my boyfriends bedroom and it has worked perfectly. We are able to plug 2 phones in for overnight charge and it gives soft reading light for before bed reading or getting ready for sleep. Everything I wanted in a nightstand lamp at a great price.

The design is great - space saving, very attractive, quiet pull cord, USB slots on the side. The one slight con I found is that the lamp shade material is less thick than the wally world lamp I had on my beside table previously. I switched the LED bulb (15w equivalent, 450 lumens) from the old lamp into this one, and found the result was brighter than I liked in a bedroom setting. This makes for a good bright lamp if that's what you're looking for. However I'm quite sensitive to brightness, and wanted something dimmer for the bedroom where you're winding down for sleep. LED bulbs don't really come any lower luminescence than 450 lumens, not that I can find anyways. I ended up getting a traditional bulb from the hardware store, 25 watt, about 200-something lumens, specifically for this lamp, and it's perfect. The old style bulbs don't last as long and aren't as energy efficient. I'm sure I probably would never have noticed had I not switched the exact bulb from the old lamp to the new. ... show more

I LOVE the look these give my bedroom. They almost remind me of the lamp that are in the fancy hotels. We ended up choosing a soft white bulb, and I’m glad we did. An LED would’ve thrown off the soft warm vibe we wanted. Also love the USB port, that way we can plug our charging stations right into them and not run a bunch of extension cords behind our bed. If I could’ve changed anything, I wished they would’ve been more distributive in the instructions how to unwrap the product once out of the box. The first lamp took me about 20 minutes to figure out. It's a little smaller than expected, and no bulb was included (not that I was expecting it at this price, but worth noting). For a cheap lamp there's not much to complain about, the USB ports charge my phone and watch together just fine, and the chain has a nice satisfying on/off click. So if you like the general look, it's a nice pick. My biggest issue is that the USB ports are on the side instead of the front (assuming the power cord comes out the "back" ) which could be great, or quite annoying depending which side of the bed you put it on. ... show more
