  • Easy way o put together and easy to use
If I could give 100 stars I would. Do my friends give me smack about it? Yes. I have a really bad back and just one day with this and I already know it’s worth the money. Maybe TMI but my back has been so bad I’ve literally had to slink down to the floor and crawl out of bed to make it to the bathroom… and no — no I didn’t make it. What’s more embarrassing than needing help up? That story. So if you ever needed help getting out of bed I promise you this works. It holds my weight fine. Very sturdy under my mattress. I don’t have a box spring. I have a slat bed frame and it works great. It also comes apart for easy storage if you find you don’t need it, which will hopefully be my case after some healing. I’m too young for this but you know what? It alleviates some of the pain and pressure of getting up. Sometimes life happens to all of us no matter our age. If you anticipate having a hard time lifting your mattress, I suggest recruiting some help for installation. I had none so it did take me a bit. But an able bodied person should be able to handle installation just fine in a matter of minutes. ... show more

  • Major ADVANCEMENT for regaining INDEPENDENCE
The media could not be loaded. I am so appreciative that I was selected to receive this product and literally couldn’t have been better timing!! Background: Dad had a knee replacement surgery on 8/7/25. He will be down for a few months, needs home therapy and prognosis is 6-8 weeks before things realistically start to improve. I had to practically make home a hospital to be handicap accessible. So far I purchased shower chair, walker, crutches, soft foot boot to protect his foot while he walked, commode chairs, and so forth… Now: One thing I hadn’t realized he needed was a bedside rail to help make the transition from standing to laying. While yes the walker has helped some, he also fell relying heavily upon the walker for his transition and not allowing us to help him. Thus installing this bed rail has helped everyone!! Firstly, you literally need no tools to assemble the bed rails. It includes a manual so no one can make a mistake, but honestly it’s only four pieces and very straightforward to assemble which is incredibly helpful. Secondly, it includes an additional layer of protection by providing a fastening strap that comes pre-attached to the railing. Also shown on the instructions, you wrap the strap around your beds frame one full lapping and secure it to the fastener and adjusting the straps length per your beds circumference. Thirdly, once secured properly to the frame, the railing does tend to make some metal on metal noises - but rest assured that it is properly able to hold yours or your loved one’s weight. My dad weighs roughly 170lbs and he’s been placing most, if not all, of his body weight on the railing to get in and out of bed. THAT RAILING HAS NOT BUDGED AN INCH, nor has it moved to the side in either direction, and it hasn’t buckled due to poor mechanical building! This thing is SOLID. I would definitely buy and recommend this product to any and everyone! ... show more

  • Height of rail is not adjustable.
This bed rail will be helpful in assisting with sitting up and getting out of the bed. But I should have paid better attention to the measurements in the products description. I have a deep mattress and it only extends about 4 inches above the top of the mattress. Info for this rail says it’s adjustable but there is only one setting to click and secure into place for the height. It’s also only 12 inches wide, so while sturdy and seemingly well made, it’s very small. I will say putting it together was a breeze, each piece has a numbered sticker. Just match up the numbers and click into place. As an “ assist “ rail it’s fine, just not high or wide enough I think to keep someone from falling off the bed. ... show more

  • Sturdy but doesn't work for my bed. The curved portion makes it slip under my mattress.
I got this bed rail to replace my current one that had some issues staying under my mattress. Assembly of this bed rail was fairly easy, but the instructions could use some revisions as they're not very detailed or well explained. Assembly of the bed rail was fairly simple after you figure out how everything is attaching to each other. Assembly took around 10-15 minutes. To add, I thought this bedrail had adjustable height like my last one did, but this one is not adjustable. If you have trouble with grip strength or articulation in your fingers/hands, I'd recommend you get help to assemble the rail because my skin got pinched several times while putting this together. If you are disabled or elderly with minimal help/supports, this probably isn't the best bedrail of choice for you and you may benefit from one that screws into the boards on your bedframe instead. Getting the strap to the other side of my bed was like an Olympic sport. Not because I'm disabled, but because this bedrail has one flaw that I've noticed so far. If you pull the rail towards you when getting out of the bed, it can slip down under your mattress. I'm guessing it's from the strap that wraps around the other side of the bed frame it. This causes the whole bottom of the rail to slip into my bedframe and I have to put it back into position. This rail does feel significantly more sturdy than my last one, but my last rail had flat poles on the portion that slides under the mattress that met at a 90 degree angle with the ones you use to get up, which may be why it never slipped under my bed like this one does. I think the issue comes from the new one having a curved angle where the two sides meet and that's why it slips. If you have a different bedframe, it may be better and safer for you or a loved one to use this rail more than it is for me. I'm not sure how much the type of frame affects it. Besides it slipping under my frame, I think this bedrail is overall a safe and sturdy solution for adults who may need it. ... show more

  • Wonderful, lightweight sturdy perfection!
My dad lives with me and he has mobility issues. I got this for him to try to help him out of bed and it is wonderful! It is not big and bulky, yet it is extremely sturdy. It took minutes to put together and install, was very easy, and it gives me major peace of mind knowing he is less likely to fall in the night. He loves it, I love it, everyone is happy. I highly recommend this to anyone in the market for something like this. ... show more
