So many of the safety sides are horribly ugly, or they rotate down so you can get out of the bed easily, which for the right purpose is great- but I didn’t need it to do that and didn’t want to pay extra for a function I didn’t need. THIS PRODUCT IS PERFECT!! It came to me within 11 hours of ordering it, and it works marvelously! I got it to put in my sons loft bed so he felt more safe and not worried about rolling off and he loves it and it doesn’t make his room look like a toddler or with ugly white fabric and mesh. Assembly took 5 minutes, super easy! The part that goes under the mattress is long enough to not NEED to screw it into a bunny board! I got this to place along the edge of the bed for my child, to keep her from rolling off while sleeping. The material is soft and cushiony, kind of like a pillow, and it’s really easy to set up and take down. The only downside is that it’s not very stable—it’s supposed to stay in place under the mattress, but it keeps sliding out. Therefore, I end up having to push the metal bars back in the next morning. I really love this. My four year old is kept safe in her big girl bed from falls. The bumper is held nicely by her mattress. I love that the bumper is soft and cushiony rather than the other versions on the market which feel less secure to me. Mine does not stand as perpendicular as the photo, but I believe it’s because the side of the bed comes up a little higher. Either way, I’m a fan.
