This blanket has only been on the bed a couple of nights but so far my partner and I are pleased. We have been through several electric blankets mainly because they are never warm enough for him at the feet and are way too bulky for me. I think we may have hit on one that suits both of us. It is lightweight and gets quite warm, with heat settings from 1-20 plus a Preheat. If aesthetics are important to you, know that the wires are visible through the fabric. Maybe they wouldn't show so much with a darker color, but we throw a quilt over our ivory one when we make the bed. There is a 5-Year Limited Warranty. I am concerned that the warranty may be voided as it states that it does not cover " products purchased through unauthorized distribution channels or internet sellers." I don't know how Amazon would be categorized. I guess I'll find out if the blanket fails in that time frame. One reviewer stated there is no one to contact if there is an issue, but the warranty registration card clearly states a website, email and phone number. So far the only gripe I have is that I paid $131 for the blanket on Feb. 13 and today, when I went to write this review the price is $87. I feel ripped off as far as that goes. With Amazon and the airlines it's always a gamble as far as pricing. ... show more

Good blanket. 20 settings for a full range of heating. Nice material, not too heavy or light. Seems to be of superior quality. Only one issue, which applies to nearly every electric lanket made and there are a bunch of them. I really dislike the electric controls. I hate the array of pushbuttons. An hour before I get i bed, I'll set it on 20 so it will be good and hot when I climb in. Then, when I'm actually going to get in I click it down to 5. The next night, back up to 20. Man, that's a lot of clicking. Can't I please just have a knob or little wheel that will crank it up or down? I don't need the digital numbers. Just give me a back-lit knob with numbers printed on it and I'll be fine with that. Electric blanketry doesn't really need such precision as digital numbering for each of 20 settings. Other than that, great product, good price (on sale) and quick ship from Amazon. ... show more

I love the softness of this blanket. The first one I had lasted a little over 5 years before the wires apparently split inside with repeated washes. Aside from the color, I replaced it with the closest and near exact match through Amazon on August 18, 2022. I didn't even get to wash it once before the controller quit working! Luckily, I still had the old controller that fit and is still working on this last Beautyrest electric blanket purchased. Of course, it was right outside Amazon's 30 day window to return and I have yet to find Beautyrest honoring their claimed 'warranties' if not purchased directly from them. With that said, I will be leery and really have to consider if I will purchase a Beautyrest product in the future here, or anywhere ever again. Update: Only lasted 2 more months with my old controller. A much longer story short, I will not be purchasing any Beautyrest products again. ... show more

I've been trying to find a good electric blanket for several weeks now. Tried Westinghouse - slippery and poorly designed control. Sent it back. Tried Sunbeam - control was O.K but the blanket heated very unevenly and didn't seem to have any heat at all at the foot end. Tried Beautyrest - third time the charm!. The blanket is like corduroy on steroids - doesn't move at all on my top sheet and is very soft. The control is the best I've ever seen with 20 heat levels and this nifty preheat button that zaps a blast of warmth very quickly. And you can scroll up or down simply by holding the button down - not all of the controls have that. And lastly, it heats from the very top to the very bottom - no more cold feet. I really liked this blanket. I bought it on March 1, 2023. On May 9, 2023 it stopped working. I only used one power cord. So I tried the one I wasn’t using. It too was flashing E!!! Why that happened and I never used it, I don’t know. I definitely won’t be buying this product again.

This is by far the best electric blanket we have had so far. It is lightweight but large enough to give ample side and end of bed coverage. The nap of the blanket and placement of the heating element "wires" make it so easy to make the bed and be sure that you have it balanced and centered. The controls are simple and the preheat setting is great for the person that likes to jump into a warm bed. There are plenty of setting options to accommodate different warmth preferences. Our old Sunbeam blanket finally gave up...this is the 3rd blanket we have purchased to replace it. The first two, although soft and warm, kept sliding off the bed. And they took the top sheet with it! Super frustrating to wake up cold in the middle of the night because the blanket was either on the floor on one side of the bed or in a ball at the foot of the bed. Love this blanket! It's slightly heavier than the others but the "ripples" keep it in place. The temperature range is good for both of us. My husband gets colder than me so he is plenty warm. The only thing I would like is a slightly better display. The wires are also long enough to put the control on the nightstand of each side (they have separate plugs too). ... show more
