They are easy to assemble. Whether other reviewers are correct regarding them being brighter than those sold at local big-box stores, I don't know. But, they are bright, and we are pleased with the amount of light they emit. We did have one problem so far. One of the eight lights had a bad battery. It only held charge long enough to run the light for an hour or two (I didn't time it). At first I thought the light had just quit. Fortunately, these are designed to allow the AA rechargeable battery to be replaced. I substituted an Eneloop AA for the bad battery. The light came on again no problem. I put the suspect battery in a smart charger, and the charger indicated the battery was bad. I am now wondering how many of the other batteries will suffer the same fate. We've only had these out for about a week and really like them. Instead of returning them over one bad battery we are willing to substitute all the provided batteries with Eneloops to ensure good operation. For the price, I would have thought quality batteries would have been included. Maybe this one was just a fluke? Don't know. Would I buy again? Probably. I had no problem putting them in the ground and do not know why others complained the stake breaks. Hard ground maybe? UPDATE: The light that was malfunctioning was not the product of a bad battery as I originally thought. The solar panel on the light will not charge the battery. Even with a full-charged eneloop battery replacement, the light does not charge. Unfortunately, I do not believe I can repair that problem. I have contacted the company as I am past the return window (purchased while doing landscaping and did not install for over a month). We really like these lights. It is too bad a few have some problems. UPDATE: The company already contacted me and is sending a new top for the light. Other reviews indicated this company stands behind this product, and they do! I am so glad. My wife and I love these lights and plan to purchase another set to add more to our property. I am changing my rating to five stars. These are nice, and the seller is stellar. UPDATE 4/26/2023 - Three years later, and I ordered another set of eight. The good about these lights is that they work well. They are attractive and put out good light. Also, they have replaceable 18650 batteries, but after three years the first set of eight lights works well with the same included batteries. I only ordered eight more now because a couple of the originals looks a bit worn, and I could use a few more. Unfortunately, this latest shipment included yet another defective light. These lights have a defuser in the bottom of the lens that helps spread the light emitted by the led in the top. One of the lights had the defuser rattling around inside the glass lens due to its plastic mount being broken. Clearly, this appears to be damage caused at the factory. Hopefully, the company will again make it right. Otherwise, these are really good lights.

I’ve bought these before. They lasted three years and I only replace them because my lawn guy ruined several of mine when he was weed whacking so I had to re-purchase another set. Totally worth the money though! They’ve lasted me several years and are bright and make a beautiful design on the sidewalk! I’ve tried others for my backyard that were cheaper and ended up giving them to my neighbor and bought these again instead. Well worth the money and so, much stronger and more beautiful than any that I have purchased! Not a cheap plastic replacement for me! Really really beautiful and long lasting and bright and you don’t even need a lot of sunlight for these to light up at night. In the last most of the night.

Had to replace one of the units within a week. Seems to be a common quality control issue, but the seller communicated well and promptly replaced the defective item. So far, the remaining units are working well. Not super bright, but quite adequate for illuminating the walkway and casts an attractive pattern. Bought extra batteries but the provided ones seem to be charging well and last through the night.

These BEAU JARDIN Solar Pathway Lights give your outdoor space a decorative lighted pattern on the ground. These units might cost a bit more, but their quality is apparent as soon as you hold them. The base is made from rust proof steel and the shades are constructed out of glass with a beautiful diamond pattern. They come with a rechargeable and replaceable batteries, so you could just get new batteries when they no longer hold a charge. These BEAU JARDIN Solar Pathway Lights are supper easy to assembled. The batteries are already installed. Just turn on the switches under the tops, twist them onto the glass, attach them to the the steel posts and insert the ground spikes to the steel posts. I install the lights in the morning and when the sun went down the lights turn on creating an beautiful pattern on the ground. We just a few hours of direct sun light, these solar lights stayed lit during the night until the sunrise. Since they were installed, 4 weeks ago, the BEAU JARDIN Solar Pathway Lights have endured rain, dust and cloudy days, but still lit up at night and stay up until sunrise.

I’ve had these outside for a few months and they work well. Out of 16 one lost its brightness so hopefully the others hold up. They are bright but I really like them most because they leave such a pretty pattern on the ground. I have them in the backyard to help the dogs see when they go out at night but they also look really pretty.
