  • Do not hold up well
Color: Blue
I bought these a while ago when they were on sale for $50.00 which is more than I would normally pay for headphones but I've always heard great things about Beats and knew $50.00 was a great deal. Initially I was very impressed. The sound quality is amazing. However within a year, the lining around the earphone part came away from the hardware on both ears and now you can see the foam pieces underneath. And a few months ago the wire that connects to the jack has become frayed and is exposing the wiring within. They still work so I'm still using them but I have to constantly adjust the covering on the earphones. Also, when these shipped, they were not in an Amazon box so anyone walking by would be able to see what they were. About 6 months after I bought these I got the Studio 3 wireless headphones as a gift and I would say if you can afford it go with the wireless instead. Also since these are on ear, if you wear glasses, like I do, it can become uncomfortable after a while. ... show more

  • No Ragrets
Color: Black
I talked a lot of smack about Beats in the past. Specifically, they are overpriced and sell on brand alone, but these are an exception. I bought these based on reviews and what I considered to be an excellent price. Well I'm happy to say that my purchase was well received. For on ear headphones, and particularly because I wear glasses, these are soft clouds nestled in the heavens. I barely notice them on my ears, even after 20 mins. The sound is suited for bass, which is something my favorite Sennheisers are lacking. Every set of cans have their strengths, and so far I'm pleased with what I hear, but I haven't burned them in yet. Maybe I'll do a small edit after 80 hours or so, but my current verdict is that these are a steal for the asking price. Extremely comfortable, with a mic and media keys compatible with my iphone 6S. To quote the famous line from We're the Millers, "No Ragrets." ... show more

  • Nothing comes close for the $$$
Color: Black
What happens when you get the $9 special via a drugstore for your audio needs. I put up with that disaster for a while, within a month it was hard to hear music at all. My husband has the high end Sony set and those are the best on the market. I wasn't going to spend $200-300 on a set that I could lose or get stolen. I wanted top quality sound and next to that, these have the best sound. Classical music isn't going to sound like a Sony or especially a Bose set but I already mentioned the proce difference. The base is great. The overall sound punch is 8.5/10 out of the box If I am comparing to them to the best of the best. I expect them to break in over the next few weeks and maybe get to a 9. If I am comparing them to th3 POS's in and around the price range (79.99 for reference) these babies are an 11 out of 10. Same for noise cancelation l, comfort and style. For $79.99 they feel substantial and aren't overly bulky or awkward looking. I read some of the negative reviews and was worried about quality. But the reality is this is a Bose headset for $80 with nearly top shelf sound, comfort and style. If you want something that will last years, stop lying to yourself and pay several hundred. Very happy! Best part? I don't have to charge this set and I pocketed hundreds by not getting the $300 pair. ... show more

  • Would recommend for the price
Color: Black
Design and Build Quality (4/5): The Beats EP Wired On-Ear Headphones are visually striking with their iconic Beats design. They exude a premium look and feel, thanks to the robust build quality. The combination of stainless steel reinforcement and durable materials makes these headphones sturdy and capable of withstanding everyday wear and tear. Comfort (3.5/5): While the on-ear design is generally comfortable for short listening sessions, it may become slightly uncomfortable during extended use. The ear cushions are soft but could be more plush to improve long-term comfort. However, the adjustable headband ensures a secure fit for most head sizes. Sound Quality (4/5): Beats is known for its bass-heavy sound signature, and the EP headphones stay true to that reputation. The bass response is deep and powerful, making these headphones ideal for genres like hip-hop and EDM. However, purists seeking a more balanced sound might find the bass overwhelming at times. The mids and highs are clear but can be overshadowed by the bass. Wired Connection (4/5): Being wired headphones, the EPs don't offer the convenience of wireless connectivity. However, the advantage is a reliable and consistent audio connection. The detachable cable is a nice touch, as it's less likely to cause damage if accidentally yanked. Portability (3.5/5): The on-ear design and foldable earcups make the EP headphones relatively portable, but they're not as compact as some other foldable headphones on the market. The lack of a carrying case is a missed opportunity to enhance their portability. Isolation and Leakage (3/5): The on-ear design provides decent noise isolation, blocking out some ambient noise. However, it doesn't offer the same level of isolation as over-ear headphones. Similarly, sound leakage can be a concern at higher volumes, so these may not be the best choice for quiet environments. Price (3/5): The Beats EP Wired On-Ear Headphones are positioned in the mid-range price category. While they offer solid build quality and signature Beats sound, the competition in this price range is fierce, with some other headphones offering more balanced sound profiles and additional features. In conclusion, the Beats EP Wired On-Ear Headphones deliver a bold and bass-forward audio experience in a stylish and well-built package. They're great for those who prioritize design and enjoy genres that benefit from enhanced bass. However, they may not be the best choice for audiophiles seeking a perfectly balanced sound. Overall, they offer good value for those looking for an iconic brand and powerful bass performance. ... show more

  • Great sound, not for professional use though. DOES BLOCK OUT MOST OUTSIDE SOUND
Color: Black
They're great headphones with a few problems. BAD 1. You cant be hard on them or they'll bend on the metal part between the actual headphone and headrest; the cord is also pretty flimsy like you've probably heard. It will tear kinda easy and you have to take good care of it. 2. They do start to hurt your ears after having them on for 2 or more hours. It's not bad though and should be expected with on-ear headphones. 3. NOT SUPER PORTABLE because of cord, but you can travel with them using precautions. GOOD 1. Great sound 2. Does block out Most outside sound 3. Doesnt have to charge! ... show more
