The first thing we notice is the gorgeous shiny mirror surface all around, making taking photographs difficult because of all the reflections. The second thing we notice is the size and weight! At 222grams without any attachments, this is almost twice the weight of simpler units, making it less useful for travel. The weight is due to to excellent constructions. Everything feels very solid and durable. The head can be removed for cleaning/lubrication and takes some force to click into place. It comes with a charging cable that plugs into an conventional USB port, but with a proprietary connector at the other end that can be plugged into the clipper directly or alternatively into the charging base. We rarely need to recharge and they even recommend not to keep it connected forever, so the base is probably most useful as a stand, without ever plugging it in. When we need to recharge, we can always plug the unit in directly. (Nowadays, it would be preferable to have a USB C jack on the unit and base, because cable replacements are much easier to find). The battery indicator only has four levels: 100%, 60%, 20% and "empty", but that's good enough. Nobody needs a 1% resolution and if we see 20%, it is time to recharge. Without attachments, cutting distance can be dialed in by turning the end. The scale goes from 0.8mm to 2mm, but if I look at the cutting head, the 2mm looks closer to 3mm, but who's counting? A distance of 3mm is actually more useful. For any longer length, there is a plethora of comb attachments all the way to 30mm, and all are well labeled in metric and imperial. I've tried it out and it is easy to hold, cuts really well and is nice and quiet doing so! My new favorite!

This is a more traditional slim form-factor hair trimmer/electric clipper with a 1.5 inch wide electric clipper head. It's not a body hair clipper and is intended for cutting facial and head hair only. It's nicely packaged. The clipper is stylish looking, with a glossy finish and some decorative diamond pattern at the bottom of the clipper. It has a good weight to it, and feels comfortable and balanced in the hand. It comes with a USB-A charging cord that can either plug directly into the bottom of the clipper, or into the charging base. A 5V charger is not included. The charging base is very easy to use - the clipper simply is set into the base to charge. The on/off button gives the default speed, and a second press gives you the "turbo" speed. A long 3 second press locks the trimmer so it's not accidentally powered on if you're placing into your luggage. The "Waterproof Blades" comment in the listing doesn't mean this clipper can be used in water. It's intended to mean you can wash the blades off in water to clean, and as noted in the photos you should remove the blades from the clipper before rinsing off. The Precautions in the User Manual state, "Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever and always place it in a dry environment." Cut length is determined by two factors: the dial on the bottom of the trimmer, and the six included plastic snap-on guide combs. The plastic guide combs included are 1 3/16" (30mm), 3/4" (20mm), 1/2" (12mm), 3/8" (9mm), 1/4" (6mm), and 1/8" (3mm). The dial on the bottom of the trimmer allows selection of 2.0, 1.7, 1.4, 1.1 and 0.8mm cut lengths. It also comes with 6 plastic clipper guide combs that snap onto the clipper. Presumably the "35 lengths of beard and hair styles" are set via the 5 dial settings on the clipper coupled with the plastic combs (5 dial settings x 6 guide combs = 30, plus the 5 dial settings without guide combs = 35). Ultimately the dial is really just a variation on a hair clipper taper lever. You'll need to use the guide combs for any hair length longer than 5/64" (2mm). I've gotten used to using clippers I already own that have built-in adjustable guide combs as they're much more convenient than snap-on guide combs. However I paid a lot more for those clippers. Overall this is a nice clipper that works well that I'll certainly use as part of my grooming arsenal.
