I purchased this as a gift and here's what the recipient has to say: "I am giving it a 4 because while the product seems good, there's quite a bit of maintenance involved (e.g., oil blades before each use) and the company requires a rating in Amazon (or from wherever it's been purchased) before they will activate the "lifetime" warranty. So, I haven't actually used the product yet and the 4 stars must therefore be taken with a big grain of salt. If it craps out I'll let you know." Recipient here: Tried it and I like it. It's solid and cuts well. It's still a tad "busy" in that it needs constant lubrication and there are multiple cutting heads and guides. This is both a strength (choice is generally good) and a weakness (just want to pick it up and use it each time). Overall, I'd say it's a great value, a really good product and if you buy it, you'll like it!
