I like to make ginger beer, all except for shredding the ginger rhizomes on a grater. My fingernails never seem to escape unscathed. Well, this personal blender looked to be a possible solution, so I put about 65 grams of fresh ginger (broken up into smaller bits) in ~300 mL water, closed it all up, turned it upside down, then pushed the on-button twice, and ... nothing. Closer inspection revealed that one of the ginger chunks had jammed the blade! So I opened it up again, released the blockage, re-sealed, then turned on the blender before inverting it, and it worked great! I could control the blending by angling the cylinder, and ended up with a coarse slurry of fresh ginger that I expect will be most satisfactory. I don't do a lot of smoothies, but if I did, I would probably like something with a bit larger capacity than this one. Nonetheless, it performed superbly, and its quality of construction and appealing design warrant five stars from me.

I really enjoy a blended coffee in the morning, like a frozen latte, but I don't want to have to take my magic bullet for a long weekend trip. My daughter also likes a smoothy and when you think of how much one big latte and one big smoothy is, this blender basically Pays for itself with three rounds of beverages! It did a good job blending the ice and coffee and the yogurt strawberry smoothy worked well, but some strawberry didn't blend. We weren't bothered and the convenience outshines the small size. I didn't want to drink from it and iced another glass, its not really meant for drinking out of in my opinion. You get two or three drinks from a charge depending upon how much work the drink is in chopping, and then it doesn't take long to charge back up. Im glad I got it and its not expensive so I can give to the kids without worry. saves money in fancy drinks!!

The look and feel of this rechargeable blender in person is a few weight classes above what I had expected from the listing's description and images. Silicon gaskets are everywhere they need to be (blender - battery/motor housing - drinking port), and the unit automatically shuts down charging/discharging if the blender is not securely screwed into the battery/motor housing (I tried). Easily a 5 star product as of this review, will update with further use.

If your looking to mix multi ingredients you may want to get something bigger, this will only do small size smoothies, I feel the power is not enough to fully mix and chop all the fruits, I had small chunks left, but it's very convenient that you can take it on the go everywhere and like that I can charge it in the car.

I love this! I love that I can pack the ingredients I want in to the container and take it with me in my cooler. I can use the blender whenever it’s convenient for me and have a fresh smoothie. At first I couldn’t get it to turn on but as the description clearly states, make sure the container is screwed in completely or make sure the blades aren’t stuck. I hope they have larger containers or at least spares.

Personal blenders this size frequently have the problem of getting jammed up by ice, or by frozen fruit. I haven't experienced that problem with this blender. I have several others, and I've stopped using them because of that very problem, but this one has not shown that problem at all. I tried this blender with frozen strawberries, frozen mangoes, some banana and some ice and water, and the resulting smoothie was absolutely delicious! And it was trouble-free. No jam ups at all. I then relaxed a bit as I had my smoothie and made another one. Same thing. No problems, no hint of a jam up, and one delicious smoothie! Recommended!

As long as you fill the cup to the max it blends great! I don't like the drinking spout too much because when the stuff in the cup splashes on the lid and you open the lid, it falls on your face while drinking.
