This beach tent was a huge hit during our family beach trip. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to set up. Everything was ready to go in about 5 minutes, even on the first use. The included sandbags and stability poles helped keep it secure, and it stayed put despite a steady coastal breeze. The shade coverage is fantastic. This was such a lifesaver during our family beach trip. We comfortably sat 3 adults and 2 children under this with plenty of room for our coolers and gear. Assembly was pretty straight forward and I like the idea of utilizing sand to help with weighing down and anchoring the shade. It came nicely folded in a small carrying bag with a zipper, which made transportation and storage super easy. It was lightweight enough to carry and it was good quality and held up to the wind, sun, and sand all day. It was attractive on the beach and didn't mess with any other beachgoers sunshine and tanning goals. The price is a little on the high size but it's a great tool to have for a day in the sun

As an Amazon Vine member, I received this Beach Tent, UPF 50+ Sun Shelter with 8 Sandbags, Sand Shovels, Ground Pegs & Stability Poles – Portable Shade Canopy to give it an honest test. I have used this product once so far for a full afternoon at the beach, and it provided excellent, reliable shade for the entire family. The UPF 50+ protection is fantastic and kept us significantly cooler than standard umbrellas. Pros The canopy fabric stretches beautifully and offers massive sun protection that easily covers several people. Having eight sandbags instead of the usual four makes a massive difference in high coastal winds, keeping the anchor points securely locked down. It includes everything you actually need right in the bag, like the sand shovels and ground pegs, making it a truly complete portable shade system. Cons The initial setup can be a bit frustrating and definitely requires a learning curve if you have never put up a stretch-canopy before. You really have to overfill the sandbags and stretch the fabric as tight as humanly possible to get the stability poles to stand correctly, which takes some muscle. It is definitely a two-person job the first time around until you get the rhythm down.

These things are just cool, that's really all I can say about him. They're easy to put up having the extra for sandbags to keep it down and attached is really nice. I've seen them with four before, but having a really keeps it from moving at all when we're on the beach. The setup is simple maybe three or four minutes, and that's me doing it by myself. It definitely stays put on the beach and doesn't blow away. I do plan on using it in my backyard this coming month for a little party so we'll see how it works out in the grass, I imagine it'll do well. It only gets four stars instead of five though, because I'm still more of a fan of the expanding awning, for the price point I just think it's a better shelter. But this shelter is still perfect for taking to the beach or easy for travel because it packs so small. I would definitely recommend this to anybody who's a frequent Beach goer, make sure that you check what the regulations are in your area on the beach. A lot of areas will not allow you to bring canopies or tents onto the beach or they have strict guidelines on size or time of year.

This item came quickly, just in time for our beach trip. You can set it up with one person, directions are simple and easy to follow. However one step shows you inserting small stakes through a loop that is supposed to be attached to the bags that you fill with sand. Mine didn’t have any such loops. I tried twisting the stakes into the sand and just sliding the fabric near the bags under to see if that would secure them, but the stakes just kept popping out of the sand so I didn’t bother with the stakes. That could be a result of the super soft powdery sand here along the gulf coast. I found the bags to be secure enough without them, even with a decent onshore breeze. I am really glad I got this. It is perfect for our needs.

This tent was easy to put together and offered a nice bit of shade. The tent worked better at the beach than in the grass. The stakes lifted from the grass when the wind picked up but this wasn’t an issue at the beach. So be mindful of the wind resistance when choosing your location. The tent isn’t too heavy or too big as the best part is that everything fits into the carrying bag it comes with. It’s very convenient and does not take up too much space.

We ordered this to replace a similar sun canopy that we damaged last year. Based on first impressions, this appears to be at least as good quality, if not better. It's relatively quick and easy to set up. More importantly, this style of shelter is MUCH lighter than the type with expandable aluminum legs and braces. These aren't as sturdy as the heavier-duty models, but our experience is that these work just as well for 90% of our days at the beach and the trade-off in lighter weight has made these our go-to choice. In our experience, however, this does not hold up in heavier winds. One note on the height - the listing says 78 inches, which I believe is the length of the poles. With it set up on sand (and the poles sinking in a few inches), we found that the height was probably closer to 70 inches. We are typically sitting on beach chairs, blankets, or towels under these tents and the height isn't terribly important, but if you are thinking that you will be using it to cover an area where you may be standing, you should be aware that taller adults probably cannot fully stand under this.
