My family and I love the beach, but I prefer the shade, a cool breeze, and a cool beverage when we're planning to stay for a full day. This canopy works great, is easy to set up, and can be adjusted based on the sun's location during the day. The fact that this canopy has 8 stabilizer legs (2 on each corner) sets it apart from those with only 4 stabilizer legs (1 on each corner) and allows it to be more stable in brisk winds. We have used it without issue in steady winds up to 25 mph. Just lay and stretch it out on the beach, fill up the eight sand bags, lift the canopy and insert the 4 expandable poles, and adjust to stabilize. If it's really windy, the sandbag ends can be buried to provide even more stability. The whole product packs up in a small duffle bag for easy transport. We will never again bother with umbrellas that only provide shade for two people (at most) and blow over in light winds. Money well spent.

This canopy was perfect for a group of 5. Easy set up and provided plenty of shade. Nice and sturdy even on windy days with up to 15 mph winds! Just be sure to fill all 8 bags fully and don't be afraid to move them around to help tighten the material for less flapping.

My brother has had a Sun Ninja for a while but it had some issues with the poles coming apart and the sturdiness of it in the wind. Having 2 bags on each corner ensures that the poles don’t move too much, so they’re less likely to bend and get broken. My dog decided to take off and bent one pole. I bent it back and it’s still holding strong. We had a really windy day out here and all of our neighbors had to take down their sun shades as they couldn’t hold up to the wind. But this shade held strong the whole day. As long as you have enough weight in each bag so it can’t move then you won’t have any issues with the poles moving too much. We used it in the sand on the shoreline and it made it quite easy to move around when we needed to. Quite helpful with a dog that likes to tangle herself in everything. Excellent product! Had multiple people ask about it and I’m sure I will see more at our campsite next year!

This is absolutely great but condos are so picky about having these. Even if I went all the way in the back behind every rental they still wouldn’t let me use it. I was SO heated about it. Didn’t bring my umbrellas because I had this and I always see people with these every year, no problems. Nope. Not this year. So just be careful. Product is wonderful and easy to assemble very lightweight and easy to store and carry.

We have used this several times now and love it. It is easy to put up and holds up well in the wind. Especially if you pull it tight while assembling. It also helps if you angle the poles to work with the wind. Do however wear sunscreen. My son did get a bit sunburned even though he was under the canopy in the shade.

Light weight, easy to set up. We used it on the beach for a week. Left it up all day. Each day we moved the poles . Because of where the pole was previously was still stretched. It did loosen after the first day and wind made it bounce a little. But never so much it moved the poles or caused problems. Very happy with the purchase. To set up we put a little sand in each bag and stretched it out tight. Then dug a small hole for each bag and finished filling the bags. Never had to re adjust anything. Stayed up perfect all day.
