We needed to reduce the hot morning sun that bakes our closet and bathroom and heats up the whole front of the house. Yet we wanted to be able to see out. Blinds were inadequate. It was cooler within just a few minutes of installation. Even though we didn’t need for privacy, that feature works well too. (See photo where a person is standing with hands showing through regular window, nothing showing where film is applied.) It looks great from inside and outside. I followed the directions exactly and I thought it was very easy to install.

Overall, this window film is good quality. The film is thick and durable, and it arrived in perfect condition with no scratches, creases, or damage. Once installed, it looks great and provides good daytime privacy and sun control. However, if you don’t have experience installing window film, it can be challenging to apply due to its thickness and stiffness. Beginners may struggle without proper tools or practice. The price is a bit on the higher side, which is why I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise, it’s a solid product that does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

Wife and I got tired of looking at all the cables and do-dads we had hiding in the living room cabinets, so we purchased this (NA20). I pre-cut the sections to make things easier, and we were able to finish 8 windows in about 45 minutes. This was PERFECT, and looks great in the living room. You can still faintly see light through it (red is the most apparent), but it blocks things enough to where it’s not distracting. Super easy to cut, but do NOT use the knife they include or you’ll be tearing the film; we used a Husky utility knife from the HD we already had lying around and it took care of it with no issue. It also sticks really well, so work quickly; it can be re-positioned, but make sure you re-spray the area when re-applying. Last piece of advice is to be really careful when using tape to pull the film off, or when separating the layers in general: any creases or accidental bends will be stuck on the film after you place it. Only time will tell if those folds will diminish as things dry out.

Though I was apprehensive about ordering the darkest tint (without total blackout}, I am so glad that I did! I did not attempt the installation myself because of 20-foot-high clerestory windows. Fortunately, my handman is a former window installer. He had no problems quickly applying the film to the windows. (I kept my exterior solar screens, also.} I am delighted that I can still see the sky through my windows while receiving significant glare and heat reduction. Broiling Texas sun had made my living room miserable in the afternoons, even with my solar screens. Now, I feel as though a giant shade tree has sprung up over my west side. At 91 degrees, it's now comfortable and pleasant in here without glare and without having to lower my AC thermostat as much. Though the Texas summer temps will be higher, I look forward to continuing to benefit from this enhancement.

I got the BDF NA20 for a large window in my house that faces the street and it’s the perfect tint! It’s crystal clear looking through but still dark enough to provide enough privacy and heat reduction. I read reviews about it creasing so I handled it delicately and painters tape to hold it up while I positioned it, thoroughly soaked it with water from a spray bottle on both the window and film, and pulled off the backing. Make sure the window and the frame are perfectly clean because once it’s on and drying it sticks hard, and trying to peel it back will damage it, so try to make sure there are no hairs, dust, or particles, as it’s definitely static cling and will grab those things. Followed the directions and it’ll come out perfect! I bought some prior to this that had horrible, murky visibility, but this stuff just looks like a window with added privacy and sun filtering. It works exactly as it should and for the price it was extremely worth it!

I made the mistake of ordering just enough for the job. Sure enough one of the window's tinted ended up with wrinkles. Contacted seller to see if I could get a small roll of film enough for one window and unfortunately they don't sell them in shorter lengths. Not wanting to pay another $40 just for one window I ended up just leaving one window untinted. Overall the film is decent quality although each film shows some tiny bubbles that never went away. The film did make an impact on temps. Not a massive difference but still noticeable. During the daytime the film has a reflective finish on the outside which gives good privacy. While you can still see inside if looking real closely its hard to make out the interior. At night there is little to no privacy provided by this tint while interior light are on.

Works great on my stormdoor so we can see out and still have a little privacy. I wish I would've gotten the darker color but it'll be fine. We get evening sun on our front door this applied to our stormdoor really helps to keep the heat off of it.
