It’s nice and firm once it has time out of the package. The cover did smell pretty chemically, but I obviously washed it before use. It works great for my toddler’s bed.

I had to send the first one back, because the zipper on the cover was broken. Should have sent the whole thing back. Much smaller and narrower than the brand I purchased before. Only got it because they sold a single, instead of a pair.
