    • THE WAY IT LOOKED
IT WAS NICE BUT SAT TO LOW TO THE FLOOR. ALSO I RETURNED IT ON AUGUST 1ST AND WAS PICKED UP BUY A PINSKE TRUCK WITH AMAZON. THE MAN SAID HE WOULD PUT A LABEL ON IT AT THE WAREHOUSE, SO I HOPE YA'LL GOT IT. I HAVE HIM ON MY RING DOORBELL. AS OF SEPTEMBER 20TH, I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY REFUND.

It's much smaller than I imagined it would be. It looks weird at the end of a big bed, but looks and functions fine off by itself. Wish I'd paid more attention to the dimensions.

When I pulled this out of the shipping box I could see that on one side the hinges for the lid had pulled right out of the wood. I opened it to see that the one side had in fact pulled right out of the wood. The other 2 sets of hinges looked to be bent as well. I screwed the one back in, and when I closed it the next time the other side hinge screws pulled right out. It's almost like the shocks (or whatever mechanism slows the closing of the lid) are too strong for the 2 little screws that are used in the hinges. So I had to go to the hardware store and get a piano hinge that is about 2 feet long and takes about 30 little screws. This piano hinge is not offset though so there is a little gap in the back, and a little lip in the front. At least I can open and close the lid now. Either I just got the one bad piece they made, or the hinges for these are poorly designed and will pull away from the lid. I am not that handy, but had a cordless drill, and spent about $5 at the hardware store. So if you're prepared for a little project then go ahead, but otherwise I would look elsewhere. I also didn't see customer support contact info on the sheet that ships with this. The product looks okay other than that. I also bought little felt pads for the bottom of the legs. I didn't want them scratching my hardwood floors. ... show more

    • Replace the screws.
The screws for the hinges are super short and also sheared off in transit due to handling. Easy enough to replace and fix, but still a PITA. The packaging could’ve been better to help with this. It fits all my sons bulkier awkward shaped toys and the dog likes laying on it.
