I bought these as a Christmas gift for my niece and nephews ages 3,5 and 7, and they loved them! Here is what my sister had to say about them "My kids (7, 5, and 3) love them. There’s a bit of a learning curve, and my oldest said switching channels is hard, but I think the difficulties are understandable considering their ages. They’ve managed to use them just fine. I like the flashlight feature. I do wish the belt clip were a bit sturdier since my three-year-old broke his right away completely unintentionally, but the body of the walkie-talkie itself seems to be of decent quality. The sound quality is good as well, at least for their purposes (playing around the house). Overall I’m a lot more pleased with these than with the last walkie-talkies my son had, which were name brand." ... show more

I gifted this to my 6 year old niece who wanted walkie talkies with her friends. For the price these are great quality. You can hear well and the range is pretty good. My niece was able to give one to her friend a few houses down her neighborhood and they worked. Great entertainment for kids!

Rather than being able to go up and down by single channels, you have to hit a button to begin searching through channels rapidly, and the. Hit it again to stop on the channel you want. For kids, this is hard to accomplish perfectly.
