A neighbor of mine has a nice backpack sprayer that I borrow from time to time. He spent quite a bit on his, so I was hesitant to spring for one myself for the few times a year I’d need it. I ordered this for two uses. One is to spray cleaning solution on my deck and siding. The other is to spray my trees and shrubs. I was kind of skeptical of the capacity, but in person it is pretty large. It takes some minor assembly out of the box. I spent about five minutes putting mine together. One thing that confused me is I have both a metal, telescopic spray wand and a plastic, fixed length wand out of the box. The photos and the instructions make no mention of the plastic one. I’ll take it as a bonus. Once assembled, I tried it on and adjusted the straps. It’s comfortable enough, but the straps aren’t the greatest for comfort. I’d say they’re adequate. I threw my 20v Dewalt battery in it and was ready to go. I really like the trend with some of these power tools to be compatible with major brand tools. That’s what sealed the deal with this one. It does not come with a battery. The unit comes with all sorts of spray spray heads for various uses. I had to practice with plain water to see how each nozzle worked. The pump pressure is adjustable via a knob next to the power switch. Once I figured out which spray head to use, I poured some cleaning solution for siding into the reservoir. I soaked down the north side of my house to get rid of marks left by spiders. The sprayer performed beautifully. The key here is that you get a pretty nice sprayer for a fraction of the price of the brands in big box stores. It provides a lot of value if you’re already in possession of a 20v Dewalt battery and charger. I don’t know about the longevity of this sprayer. The trigger handle isn’t all that impressive, but it works fine. I doubt a pro who uses one of these daily would be interested. It’s definitely a homeowner model at a homeowner model price. For a cost that’s less than two tanks of gasoline in my vehicle, it’s nice to have around. With proper care, it should last the average homeowner a long time.

This sprayer fit my aftermarket 7ah DeWalt battery just fine with room to spare for an even larger capacity battery. It comes with several types of nozzles and attachments. I tested them out and they all leaked, when I realized I had to disassemble them and insert the included o-rings. After inserting the o-rings the nozzles no longer leaked or dripped. The usage of the power switch was initially confusing for me as when I flipped the switch to ON it turned on and I was unable to control the pressure regardless of the pressure knob setting. I then flipped the switch to off with the pressure setting midway and it failed to turn off. At that point I realized the ON/OFF switch is mutually exclusive from the pressure control knob so you have to pick one (where the switch is full pressure). The sprayer is capable of spraying a lot of water flow and very far especially at the higher pressure settings. I recommend testing it with water first to dial in the desired wand, nozzle, spray adjustments and water pressure settings. It is priced competitively at $110 and works just fine for my needs.

I have a back back sprayer with a hand pump, but I was looking for something that was powered. While some on the market come with a battery at this price, I really wanted one that worked with my DeWalt batteries, so I don't need different chargers laying everywhere. The Pros: ++ It is well packaged ++ It has WAY more accessories than I expected, and it took me a bit to figure out what they all were, but it has so many different attachments, you can't possible want for more. ++ There is a plastic wand for more low pressure style attachments (which there are several). That alone would be just fine....;but there's MORE! ++ It also comes with a metal style wand that is TELESCOPIC! I wish I had this when I sprayed cleaner on my gutters. The wand almost doubles in length by loosening a metal collar. ++ The tip for the metal wand is adjustable. It almost has too much pressure, as it goes from straight line to a pretty large atomized cloud pretty quickly on adjustment. I have not played around that that too much to see if I can get a nice pattern for spot weeds. ++ Works perfectly with my DeWalt batteries (easy to open side door compartment) ++ There is a cap and a reservoir to store the accessories. The Neutrals: ~~ The instructions are less than perfect. It's not the best translation as they are worded oddly. The numbered image does not actually have arrows to what the numbers go to....so there is a bit of guessing. On the bright side, it is somewhat straight forward and most things are pretty obvious. ~~ Some assembly required. Most of the pieces are shipped inside the tank. You really only have to install the belt, hose. handle, nozzle. Since there are two choices of wand, I will give some grace for letting you pick which one to install. One plastic strap of the back pack portion was not properly seated....but remove one screw, and you can slide it down, seat it properly and tighten it back up. The Cons: -- The filter basket is really too good. When pouring just water in....let water through very, very slowly, and when there was no pressure, it actually held a little bit of water in the bottom. It would not take much to put some small holes in....but is a little too fine of a filter. -- It leaked...and that is a pretty big con. There is a small notch on the top, and a reinforcement rib on one the inside of that space. There seems to be a very small pinhole there. It was not a super steady drip, but if I am spraying weed killer, I certainly do not want it leaking as I am walking around the lawn. I was going to knock it down to 3 stars, but it looks like I can seal it pretty easily, and it does a lot of other things really well.

Works great. Mine didn't come with a hose. It was quicker to buy a replacement for 12 dollars than to send it back and hope the new one included the hose.
