This backpack sprayer is perfect for large yards, small high-maintenance yards, women, men, spot treatments, clearing a path… you name it! I wanted to try this out but it’s windy today – and wouldn’t you know it, there is a “windproof” nozzle. It is shaped round and flat, so you can hover it close to the ground and still get a little bit of spray action. The backpack comes with fairly easy instructions. I got a little confused when it got to the part where you attach the waist support, so scanned the QR code. It takes you directly to a YouTube video to watch the entire assembly process. It also comes with 4 additional nozzles so you can customize the spray. There are spare gaskets as well, and a metal wand to use with corrosive chemicals. The battery needs to be charged – it took less than 90 minutes – I’m not sure exactly how long, because I got involved with something else and when I went back it was done. The tank capacity is 3 gallons and I filled it with just one gallon. The backpack was easy to slip on and the weight was easy. I know two gallons will be easy (I’m a senior female) – I just rested the backpack on the patio table so I didn’t have to sling it over my back. The controls are simple – “on/off” toggle, and then the trigger sprayer to control the spray. I was able to spray the entire gravel pathway and it didn’t seem like work at all – I may as well have been strolling in the garden. This is going to be a real game changer for me in my use of chemicals; we have 8 acres which is too much for hand sprayers, but not enough to go big guns with industrial equipment. This backpack hits the sweet spot! I highly recommend it.

I do my own pest control, and for years I have used regular hand pump sprayers. They work well, but lose power over time which means they have to be re-pumped on a regular basis. I decided to try this backpack sprayer out to see if they are any better. This thing is awesome. It makes spraying my property way easier. It comes pretty much assembled. You just have to take out the accessories and attach the wand and the hose. The battery came about half-charged so I was able to test this out right away. Once it is connected you just slide the battery in and turn on the switch. There is an on / off switch, but also a dial to change the speed / flow of the sprayer. I put some water in the unit and played with the different tips. It sprays well and consistently. If you crank it all the way up it shoots out a pretty powerful jet. I like that it has a removable filter when you are filling it up. I also like that it accepts different types of batteries. The pack itself is a little heavy with the water in it, but once you put it on your back it is not too bad. I was easily able to walk around the spray. Where this really shines is the constant and consistent flow. This is something a hand sprayer could never achieve. This is going to make spraying my property much easier and faster. I think it will also help with any back pain that is caused by carrying around the hand sprayer. Overall I think this sprayer is fantastic and I would highly recommend it. If this one broke, I would buy another one without hesitation!
