  • Very good amp.
Model: BT700
Buy it. It is very well worth it. Very good power for the size. No overheating issues. No turning on or off popping. Sounds awesome.

  • New company, Great amp, zero complaints New company, Great amp, zero complaints
Model: BT700
>Great RMS watts per dollar value >Silent turn on/off, no thumps or pops >No problems with hum, buzz or alternator whine. >Honest / conservatively rated by the manufacturer. There are no BS "MAX-Power" specs anywhere in the product. Best Balance should be commended for that. This reminds me of the late 80s and really high end ($$$) manufacturers like Hifonics, Orion, MTX, Rockford, PPI, Linear Power (etc) would rate wattage at 11.5 Volts, to simulate a worst case vehicle electrical system (old tired alternator / battery). >This amp is a re-brand of the plinius PHF650D, the circuit boards are the same. So this amp should come close or even exceed its rated RMS: 220@4, 380@2 and 700@1. (The Plinius was bench tested on YT at 290@4 ohms, 500@2 ohms and 750@1 ohm). >I am only running a 4 ohm load in a SQ music listening system, with an infinite baffle 8" sub. I am not SPL burping or playing tones. Sounds great so far with music, although admittedly I don't have anything to base-line it against. >It is heavier than I was expecting. So it should stay nice and cool, with my 4 ohm load. At 4 ohms it only draws ~28A. >The only thing I can nit-pick about are the old fashioned spade terminal lugs. But honestly, once you get them connected its a moot-point. I went the extra mile with flux & solder for the 4AWG power and ground lugs. For the speaker and remote turn on wires I just crimped them. >I think Best Balance is kind of new, hopefully in the future they will offer more conservatively rated amps in their product line. This is a great way to start out. I hope they do well in this business. [EDIT 4/27] >After almost month this amp is rock solid and my impressions above remain. Zero complaints. >If you are in the market for an amp and are confused by "MAX-POWER" ratings just ignore them... they are marketing BS. Instead use fuse ratings to get a realistic wattage range. This map has 40A+40A = 80A total. 12.5V x 80A = 1000W. No amp is 100% efficient. A typical class D like this one is 80%~90% efficient. 85% x 1000W = 850W. This is just a ballpark estimate though, and it does not take into account impedance loading dynamics. As I mention in my review this amp is conservatively rated, and Best Balance specs it at 700W which falls in line with the fuse math. >I finally got around to connecting and mounting the remote gain control. Its basically an attenuator pot in line with the main gain pot on the amp. It is NOT a bass "EQ boost". So whatever gain level you set on the amp, the remote knob will attenuate from that baseline. For a while I had the remote knob set to MAX, and adjusted the gain on the amp. In that scenario the remote knob can only attenuate (turn down). I wasn't happy with that so I set the gain on the amp to MAX, and then adjust the remote knob to taste. Usually it remains around 12~1:00, but some songs the bass is too heavy so I reduce it. This for me is more flexible, but I have to be careful not to push it into clipping. >I really don't use the high pass / subsonic filter so I have it set to its lowest frequency. My music collection has no musical content below ~35 Hz anyways. >I have my low pass filter set to around ~100 Hz, but I can't really tell. There are no frequency markings around the dial. So its kind of guess work at best. You need a basic RTA and pink noise to set it right. ... show more

  • Definitely Recommend Can't wait for more powerful amps
Model: BT700
Purchases 2 to sell and test in customer's vehicle's but honestly when I saw dual 40amp fuses which basically tells me amp can do close to or rms rated. I was blown away with the 1st install wired at 2ohms with 8 gauge amp kit and a android aftermarket radio. Bass knob works great with sound level difference of each rotation also wasn't a cheap plastic but a metal casing bass knob. Small compact class D which stayed cool during testing and basic tuning after install. Amp as a nice weight to it heavier than it looks and so cheap of a price. Highly recommend and will buy to sell and promote more. Especially after sold and installed for the 2nd customer which constantly changes his setup but instantly no complaints of this amp. Power is true rated or close to in my opinion (no dyno equipment) plenty of controls for fine tuning and very easy to use ... show more

  • BEST BUDGET AMP ON AMAZON!
Model: BT700
I don't have a single problem, I don't know if the 1000w peak is true I currently run a 10in Fosgate punch P1 it HITS HARD, Setup is easy, doesn't get hot, wiring hookups are quality, slick compact design, amp light isn't to bright or a odd color, Can't wait to truly test it with a bigger subwoofer. Will definitely buy again for different projects Motorcycles, Truck-Cars,ATVs. ... show more

  • Excellent value, but other options may be better. Excellent value, but other options may be better.
Model: BT700
The amp is solid. I bought it suspecting it was a clone of the Plinius 650 and after cracking it open was correct. It was 46 bucks when I bought it, which is just an insane value, now that they've raised the price though, I'd go for the Plinius 700 or 1000 for the clip light and smaller size. This amp isn't as efficient with its board space as the new Plinius's are. I have the 1000 and its smaller than this one is. The crossovers have nice features. High and low pass, signal polarity inversion, bass boost, not that I would touch that, and pass through RCA. I'm personally a fan of spade connectors for a lower powered amp, and they are done brilliantly here with a guard that covers all the terminals. The bass knob is very lacking. I'd recommend an after market RCA knob over this one. In conclusion it gets 5 stars at 46 dollars and 4 at 56. ... show more

  • Affordable Entry level AMP
Model: BT700
This is a great little amp for modest bass in your ride or home audio. would highly recommend at least a speaker/s that you can wire down to 2 ohms for the best results. It will do 1 Ohm as well but you'll need a minimum of 4AWG OFC to get it to power you speakers if you choose to go that low in resistance. ... show more

  • Works great
Model: BT700
I gave this amp a 4 star cause I'm only running a 10inch magnum subwoofer 400w rms on 2ohms off a dual magnum sub kit and the amp gets a little warm for a just a 10 inch but I'm getting another 10inch so I hope it won't blow or get to to warm or hot I will be buying another if it works good with 2 10s on 1 ohm. This is a very good amp for 46 all I'm saying is just get it if you need a cheap power house ... show more

Small amp with a little weight to it. Seems to be well constructed. Works great for my 2 10in skar subwoofers running 400 watts each. Great price and great sound and power
