This is a great product that comes with a heat conducting thermal pad and a heat sink. It's plug and play works like a charm. Do note that this uses a PCIe x4 so make sure you either have a spare PCIe x16 which is basically the graphic card size or something 1/4th of the size. Most motherboards will have 2 of those and a bunch of PCIe x1. I ended up having to return this because I have the ASRock B450 Steel Legend (don't get this mobo) and the m.2 actually deactivates the second slot of the PCIe x16 which basically rendered this adapter useless. I was trying to upgrade from regular SSD into NVMe. Though I had mobo issues this product does work well and depending on your mobo it should perform as expected. Read and write tests with the WD-Dashboard ran 3000 mbps read and write despite the actual card rating 7300, but it is a Gen3 Mobo only so it's expected. Also there is a red like that blinks that tells that status of the NVMe, if you dont mind the light its great aside from that this is a pretty good product that works as intended. ... show more

This product is exactly what it should be, a straight forward, properly featured adapter. It even comes with an adequate heatsink and thermal pad to ensure good thermal transfers (this isnt really important, but it is nice to see for situations with inadequate cooling like SFF builds or servers). I have used this with a variety of differing NVME drives, of varying sizes, lanes, and PCIE gens with no problems whatsoever. ... show more

Love The M.2 NVME to PCIe 3.0 x4 Adapter, works perfect. The problem I am having is the old HP computer I have will not boot from this M.2 NVME SSD due to the bios not able to recognize the M.2 NVME SSD. Oh well... The M.2 NVME to PCIe 3.0 x4 Adapter card is doing its job and the transfer speed I am getting is as advertised for the M.2 NVME card. I downloaded a speed test program and all is good. Windows 10 can see and use the setup no problem once it is booted up. I now have to try and sell the M.2 NVME and adapter card and buy a SATA style SSD. I wish I had a computer that could use this setup but all my computers are too old to boot from a M.2 NVME SSD. I do recommend the M.2 NVME to PCIe 3.0 x4 Adapter, buy it if you need it. ... show more

Product seems to work perfectly. At first, I was a little uncertain which fastener to use for what and wished the instructions were a little more comprehensive. I could have contacted support but hate to go through all of that. I figured it out soon enough. A full-page color manual or a link to an on-line equivalent would have saved me a couple minutes of uncertainty and earned the full five starts. Still very happy in the end. ... show more

I am getting fast Gen4 speeds, in a Minisforum N5 Air. With a 2TB Samsung 990 Pro. 7123MB/s read and 6903MB/s write. Using a 64GiB sample in CrystalDiskMark. The fastest Gen4 NVMe slot in the N5 Air is only a x2 slot. So, since it has an expansion slot, I wanted to get something that would give me actual gen four speeds with my 990 Pro. And this adapter is doing that. I've only had it installed for a couple of days, so hopefully it will last. I do have a few of the Gen 3 versions, and they have been in use for around seven years.
