  • It's great for seeing holes in targets at 100 yards (
Style: 15-40x50
I got this as a gift to use a few times a year to zero in my rifles at the range. It's great for seeing holes in targets at 100 yards (.22/5.56/.270). It is a little smaller than I thought but that's fine as it easily fits in my range bag. The tripod is very small/short so I either prop the scope up on a sandbag or block or just hold it in my hand. Also you must detach the tripod after use if you want to put it back in its case as it won't fit with the tripod on. The price is right at just a little over $20 for as much as I'll use it and what I'm using it for. Amazon shipping unfortunately delivered it to someone else's house so somebody got a free scope!! But Amazon was great and got me a new scope rather quickly. Thanks Amazon but your drivers need to verify addresses before they drop off packages! All in all a very good product! ... show more

  • Your buying a cheap spotting scope. Thats what you get.
Style: 15-40x50
So far I've used it out to about 130 yards, and it works fine. I would think you could probably push it to 200 if you had the right target. But just be realistic its a cheap scope, and its limited because of that. I live in the mountains and 100 yards is my normal shooting distance. If you want something to work out farther than that cough up more money. I'm pleased with it for the price. ... show more

  • good value
Style: 15-40x50
Always a sucker for value and this compact spotting scope has that in spades Don't have unrealistic expectations and you'll like it. Good compact size, light and while the included tripod is kinda flimsy it can fold down into a compact size and does the job good enough. Only thing is the pouch included will not fit the scope with the tripod attached but no big deal Will update after getting out to the range with it UPDATE - forget about the plastic stand it comes with, the thing is pretty much useless if there is any kind of wind. It is not stable enough and will vibrate as you adjust the focus and windage/elevation. I put it on a tripod I had just laying around it is much better now. at 100 yards, all levels of magnification is pretty clear, 200 yards it starts to get semi blurry and at 300 yards you'll be hard pressed to see hits in smaller calibers even with shoot and see targets. Beyond that forget about it. Best magnification is between 15X-30X. Above that and it's rather difficult to get it to focus properly, almost impossible to do with the included stand. still a good buy given the price, but highly recommend getting a more sturdy stand to use with it. • Good enough for what it does
Style: 15-40x50
I bought this to use at the shooting range so I could spot my shots at 100 yards. It works well for this, much better than my decent binoculars. As others have stated the tripod is a little flimsy but it worked ok for me. I’m sure a $500 Vortex would give me a tingle up my leg but not sure that would be worth another $450 plus dollars. As with everything you get what you pay for but I got all that I needed with is item. ... show more

  • Would be a good toy, nothing else
Style: 15-40x50
I attempted to use this spotting scope to sight in at 200 yards. I was using DayGo reactive targets over paper targets. My groupings are normally within 1 MOA. With this scope, I was unable to even focus on the targets. I have a Crossfire II 4-16x - 50mm. I was able to get a closer view with my optic at 16x then with this optic at 40x. The site picture on the 16x also seemed closer. The view within the objective lens requires your eye to be on the eye relief, and it was never actually clear sub 100 yards (then it was hardly what I would consider clear, aka you would not pass an eye exam test even with the largest letter). I was unable to identify hits on the reactive paper targets at 200 yards using the 40x (or lower) setting, stabilized by a tripod. It is very possible it was just the scope I had. I have heard reviews of this scope where people use it to sight in on paper targets. Both via amazon and in person. The person that got me to buy this was actually a sporting goods store employee speaking to me about how I was uneasy to spend another 400-600 dollars on another optic. well, I'm probably going to spend the 400-600 on the optic. This thing was trash. I would buy it for a little kid, who just wants to tag along, I would not recommend it for any actual use. I expected it to be low quality, however not being able to focus at 200 yards, that wasn't asking much. Not being able to see a spot on a reactive target, that really was even less. ... show more

  • Great!
Style: 15-40x50
I've been using this scope on a fairly regular basis for target shooting and it has been a real help to me. Finding the right mount has been more of a challenge. I wish they made one for a hanging application which is how I use it. The scope itself is clear and easy to use. I use it at 50' and 75' mostly so I have nothing else to go on other than that. ... show more

  • Zoom suck and clarity is garbage
Style: 15-40x50
The image is OK at the lowest zoom. But it becomes a tiny, off center, unfocusable, distant image of you use the zoom. Image quality is only OK even at low zoom. Buy something better. This is a waste of money.
