Description

The Barska 30-90x90 Barska Colorado Spotting Scope includes the Deluxe Tripod. The Colorado Spotting Scope features a powerful zoom magnification range image that runs from 30x to 90x power, with a straight-body design for head-on viewing. The massive 90mm ocular lens ensures that you'll get a vivid and bright image every time. Has a blued outer lens, with fully coated lenses throughout. The Porro prism system offers greater depth perception and a wider field of view. The optics and inner workings of the spotting scope are protected by the watertight outer housing. This water proof spotting scope is ideal for long-distance observation and shooting. Has an extendable glare reducing sun-shade which is set back in the housing to allow the sun shade to cast a shadow and reduce glare for use in bright sun. The Deluxe Tripod that comes with the Colorado spotting scope features an accessory hook that can be used to further stabilize the tripod in very windy conditions. Hang a counter weight (not supplied) onto the hook to stabilize your tripod. The pan head has a standard platform that secures the device onto and adjustable tilt and pan controls to move the device. The quick release platform makes it easy to release the device from the tripod to utilize in hand. Has extending adjustable legs with quick release leg locks with rubberized feet for a more stabilized position. There is a leveling bubble, allowing for optimum viewing and picture taking. This is a great scope at a very reasonable price. I tested it once on the shooting range and it performed superbly. Very clear view close and far. I could see holes from .223 on white paper at 100 yards on black or white part of the target. Unfortunately I could not see any holes in the orange bulls eye, but that could just be my marksmanship. I could see very clearly at over 500 yards, which is as far as that particular range extends where my view was blocked by a side of the hill. I could see holes on a splatter targets about 300 feet away. Do you realize it comes with a tripod at this price? Really nice tripod, too. Tripod and scope are very light and relatively compact. They each fit into their own zippered bag. I am pleased with this purchase, I see no faults with this scope or tripod. ... show more

Great value for the money. I upgraded from binoculars, to a table top spotter 20-60x60 and now this large tripod mounted 30-90x90. I absolutely love this larger spotter. I have enjoyed getting up close visuals of my nesting birds and have even spotted foxes and deer from a distance. This is not good for following running animals, at least not for me, however to sit and watch birds in and out of nests or on the water it is great. Good clarity on the lenses, travel bag was included. One nice feature is that it is waterproof so you can set up on a misty day or even stay out in slight rainy weather and not have to worry about water damage. Would highly recommend for an avid backyard birder. There maybe stronger magnification spotters out there but for myself this is perfect. ... show more

I purchased this scope to view bullet holes on targets up to 200 yards. My targets are blue silhouettes. If the target is in sunlight, I can see the holes. If overcast, it is very difficult. I suppose "splatter" targets would have been better. Quality of the scope was fair. The glass is a bit wavy, but still usable up to the 200 yards. Beyond that.... I doubt it. Also, the tripod is very cheap and flimsy. It does have a standard screw connector, so it could be used with a camera. I had a Nikon tripod and used that. ... show more

The tripod has phenomenal build quality for the price, it easily stabilizes the optic in moderate winds while fully extended. I stand at 6’2” and it comes right up to my eye. Very stable when not extended all the way. The scope itself is great for the price. Lightweight and very clear and easy to focus. I recommend getting a higher quality case to transport if you’re using it in the woods like I am. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Tripod arrived missing parts at its base. Scope was very unstable mounted to tripod. Sending back to seller. Box looked like it was shipped. Numerous times.

With some slight improvements to the optics, tripod and manuals this could be a decent spotting scope Tripod adjustment are somewhat crude and have loose connection between the scope and tripod. Does not as claimed, delivering brighter images in low light conditions. The spotting scope lens are ok at 30X, poor at 60X, and dim and blurred at 90X, and this during daylight hours The fine adjustment on the scope works adequately but with the optics being poor at the higher magnifications make it sort of a moot point. Printing quality of both manuals for the tripod and the telescope is poor quality and hard to read. In addition, the manuals are not model specific, basically, they do not show all the parts or tell you their function or how to use them. Also, the manuals do not provide any examples of how to use the scope. I decided to try and reprint a sharper image of the manuals from the manufacturers site but they were just as blurry there and hard to find.
