I was looking for an alternative to the 8' lights I had in my shop as they cast shadows and didn't really provide the light I was looking for, not to mention that annoying buzzing and lag time when turned on in cold weather. Because the ceiling is 14' tall, I was worried about light dispersal so I went with these 44w lights over the lower wattage. I have 6 two tube fixtures covering 1500 sq. feet and could not believe how bright the light was after conversion to these tubes. It is the purest white light I have ever seen and I probably could have gotten away with the lower wattage tubes, but I'm glad I got these. Removing ballast and re-wiring was a breeze and took about 5 minutes per fixture. I did place a wire tie around the fixture and the tubes in the middle to help support the tubes and avoid sagging. They make clips that will do the same thing, but the wire tie worked just fine. I also found that if I "aimed" the light by slightly rotating the tubes away from each other the light spread out over a larger area and avoided all shadows. Shipping was very fast and tubes were extremely well packed and arrived by UPS earlier than estimated. Every tube lit instantly and completely and I could not be more happy with the results. Best money I have spent in a long time and the quality is awesome. I would highly recommend this conversion to anyone looking for a bright, clean, quiet, and efficient source of light. 1/28/2020 update: I like these lights so much that I have decided to add several more 8ft. fixtures and install these tubes. If anything, I am more pleased the longer I use them. It is great to walk into the shop in the evening or first thing in the morning and have instant bright white light everywhere at the flick of a switch. Install was easy and lights are super bright. They do sag in the middle a bit but not to the point they will fall out of the fixture, people make too big of a deal of this. I did buy the clips that hold the lights in the middle to prevent sag but after looking at them the clips needed spacers to keep light level with the fixture and the clips would have made it difficult just to get the bulbs in the fixture so I didn't use the clips. ... show more

Removed the ballast and fluorescent bulbs and installed the single pin 8 foot LED bulbs. Installed about 22 bulbs, 12 of them over two years ago and 10 recently. They all come on strong and bright. They have a very consistent color and brightness. Great upgrade. So far so good.

I purchased 24 of these 8 ft. LEDS ( Two Boxes) to replace the fluorescent tubes in 12 fixtures . They were packaged pretty well , each in a cardboard tube. Installation was pretty easy , remove the ballast , one end of the tombstone's becomes your neutral wires and the other end becomes your positive . The light they give out is amazing , Lights up my 30x40 pole barn great . I would recommend these lights to anybody who is thinking about retro fitting to LEDS !!!! I figure they will use about half the wattage of the old bulbs. ... show more

    • These bulbs don’t last.
I bought 48 of these bulbs for my shop. I use the shop occasionally, so the lights are not on continuously. Individual LEDs started to go out after 6 months. After a year 6 of the 48 went out completely. These bulbs are junk. I am very disappointed in these bulbs and would NOT buy them again.
