We got this for our little boy who barks at anything that moves. We decided to only use it when we’re out on walks to help keep him calm when people or other dogs approach. We tried it for the first time this morning, it didn’t activate 100% of the time when he barked. When it did actívate, it didn't seem to startle him as much as we hoped, but we realized that’s because both contact points need to touch his neck properly. Once we adjusted it, it seemed to work well and felt humane. At first, I was nervous that the two prongs might shock him, but my husband pointed out (and you can see in the pictures) that they’re surrounded by rubber. It might look like it could dig into the neck, but it doesn’t as long as you put it on carefully. For reference, our dog weighs about 14 pounds and is on the smaller side, so you can see in the photos how the collar fits him. It’s important to fit it properly (because we didn't at first and it didn't work). I also recommend not using it with a leash attached to the same collar so it doesn’t press into the skin, just to be safe. All in all, I’m excited about this product. It already seems to be helping bring a little more peace to the neighborhood, and I’m hopeful it will help retrain him to stay calm over time. I’ll update once we’ve used it a bit longer.

I was very hesitant about trying this device because my dog is extremely timid and spooks easily. I certainly don't want to make that worse. Unfortunately, because of his anxiety, he has to come to work with me and he's grown quite comfortable there. He's thinks it's his home and has started growling or barking at customers when they walk in the store. I need to correct this behavior quickly, so I thought I would try this collar. I love that it has humane settings and doesn't have to be set on full blown static all the time. And this is the first collar I received that actually fit my 15lb mini schnauzer. Every other brand I ordered was way too big, even in the small. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to pick up his growls, which are more terrifying to customers than his bark. I've been playing around with the settings but I just don't think it's quite sensitive enough for that. It also doesn't seem to pick up every bark and there have already been several false triggers.. mostly on the most sensitive setting. I'm not quite sure how to balance that out. Because of these issues, I have not used the static or vibration settings at all, only the beep. The beep seems to be enough to correct my pup anyway. I just wish the corrections were more consistent and dependable. Of course, my pup's growling and barking are not consistent either, so it may be more him than the collar. I'm just not sure, so I gave this 3 stars. Either way, it's not a "one size fits all" kind of thing. But.. it charges quickly, lasts a full week, and actually (physically) fits my small pup.

The media could not be loaded. Fantastic!! This is working great! It has 3 Options: Static, Beep and Vibration. Easy to follow directions, water resistant. Lasts all day. It does not have a remote but I don't think its necessary as I’m using to help keep our dachshund from getting riled up. She is the barker of the 3 and its also helping keep them calm. So glad I have this!!
