As others have said, it's a photo of a 45 lb plate glued on a thin circular base. The hands are painted white so they listened to those who complained that the black hands were hard to see. It came with a second hand which is helpful in a gym setting if you are doing two minute sit-ups or push-ups or planks or such. It's not the size of a 45 lb plate - it's between the diameter of 10lb and 25lb plate. Ten inches is what the ad copy says but one might think it's the size of a 45 lb plate. It's not. This clock is basically a lot of glued paper. The price of it, and the fact that is does actually work, will let it sit on this wall for the time being. The picture is cute … but … The hands came with a small plastic cover. There is a second hand, but you have to really play with the 3 little hands to make sure they don’t jam up against each other. It’s a pretty flimsy clock, but for the price … thats what I get… ... show more

Bought this barbell clock for my home gym. The hands are black and the clock is black, so it is impossible to see what time it is. The picture shows the hands are silver...this would have been great - however, the one I received had black hands and you can't see the time.

Hands black and almost impossible to read in anything but bright light. Numerals do not contrast enough with clock face to read legibly. I painted them with whiteout. Even with several sets of fresh batteries, the clock would work only intermittently. After about 2 weeks, it stopped completely.
