This tool is great for pulling old, barbed wire fencing out of the brush. No need to find an end. Just slip the ring around the wire and pull with your winch or vehicle. Strong enough that it will probably last you a lifetime.

I have hundreds of feet of wire fencing around our acreage, mostly to keep the cattle out while allowing the wildlife in. Some is welded wire, a lot is composed of strands of barbed wire between T-posts. That wire needs to be stretched so it’s nice and tight and looks good as well as being practical. This tool lets me stretch the wire. I have a come-along that I can pull the wire with, and this tool lets me quickly and easily get wire into its slot with a knot of barbs in place so it can't slip, then I stretch away. It has become an essential item in my fencing toolbox.

The design on this allows it to cinch down on the wire as you pull. You get a good grip and can string your fence wire safely and get enough tension. I have this in my vehicle to help clear downed fences quickly.

I had one of these once and it disappeared. I a very happy that I came across this device again! You might lose it, or someone might borrow it and fail to return it, but you are unlikely to break it. It does what few other devices can do. These things are great for pulling almost any kind of wire tight. They work great with a come-a-long, but you can do okay a pully. If you do have to pull the wire by hand, you can still use this thing to get a good grip without having to actually grab the wire itself. However tight you get the wire, it's going to be tighter than if you didn't use this thing. I use this at my deer lease for stringing up wire to keep cows out of certain areas. If you only need it once a year, you still can't beat it for the price.
