I purchased one of these 28 W bulbs and one 36 watt bulb as test units for our church sanctuary. I cannot see much more light output from the 36 watt bulb and the 28 watt bulb seems to have less strobe effect. They both are substantially cooler and more efficient than the 200 watt incandescent bulbs we have. Both are working well with our triac dimmer system. Both have been running for about four weeks without issue. The color temperature is pleasing and comparable to a full voltage incandescent bulb, but they are whiter at reduced output. ... show more

These bulbs are pretty sweet! They fit perfectly in my par 56 fixtures. The only thing that kept them from getting a 5 star review was the fact that they are slightly difficult to dim.
