The main reason I purchased this sound-bar is so that I could pair it with my B&O A9 on the covered deck when not watching TV. In this regard it works flawlessly and sounds amazing with Tidal music tracks. As a TV sound bar it paired seamlessly with my New Samsung Terrace outdoor TV. It projects really well, allowing us to watch TV from a distance without cranking the volume. I have not watched a movie yet, but even watching sports you get a sense of the surround capabilities, broadcaster voices come from the center of the screen while crowd noise and other audio affects seem to come from way outside the limits of this bar. I often get the impression that sounds and voices are coming from behind me when there is literally no one for miles. I'm sure there are less expensive sound bars that perform as well but this one looks fantastic, pairs with my other B&O products, and music sounds great as you would expect. ... show more

This is an amazing speaker. Clear and powerful sound without a subwoofer. It is a beautiful piece and I appreciate the ability to customize the sound for music vs an action movie. The first thing my daughter mentioned was that she could “feel” the sound and that is the truth. Even without a subwoofer, the bass is almost tangible. I have found that the unit senses what I am listening to and automatically changes the settings. The setup was straight forward and the template was perfect for getting the placement correct. I have the unit connected to a Sony XBR (from Costco) via the eARC and am using the HDMI cable which came with the Beosound Stage. I have not found a need to upgrade to a more expensive HDMI cable. I have not experienced any lag between the TV and this unit. The B&O app works well and I have a Beoplay M3 in my office linked and enjoy playing my Deezer app through both. I will be adding an A9 and Beosound 2 in the coming months and look forward to the ability to play music throughout my townhome. ... show more

    • Sheer torture to setup, awesome sound

Even though I bought the Bang & Olufsen recommended LG G4 TV, setup to get the Beosound Stage to communicate with the LG G4 TV was very problematic. The product documentation lacks detail, and the support team from Bang &Olufsen did not have the necessary product knowledge to provide useful advice. HDMI AAC connection to the TV did not work. Came very close to returning the unit, but because I have other B&O equipment I have had prior experience with how painful the setup can be. Eventually got the Beosound Stage to communicate over WiFi using WiSA and enjoy the awesome sound produced by the speaker. But I few months later the speaker disconnected itself from the TV and would not reconnect using WiSA, despite resetting to factory and starting all over again. Finally resorted to using Bluetooth to connect the speaker to the TV. Have not been able to connect the Beosound Stage to Alexa and that is a huge disappointment. Product documentation 1 star Product support 1 star Connectivity 1 star Product sound quality 5 stars Overall rating 2 stars because the product requires constant attention and does not integrate with Alexa so I can’t fully use it the way intended. ... show more

This is my first B&O product and it delivers, for the most part. Starting with the good, the balance in the sound is terrific! It has an excellent speration of highs, mids, and bass without becoming muddy. I did set it to be "energetic" because I like the sound it produces at that setting. It doesn't have many setting to adjust, but take some time to play with it to lock in your listening preference. The bass is super impressive for being an all-in-one soundbar! While not "earth shaking", the bass is plenty for my smaller living room. The build quality is also amazing! The look of it is eye catching and classy. Moving on to the meh of the unit. I find that music sounds far more impressive than movies. While the sound isn't bad for movies, I was expecting a bit more ambiance and dialog can get drowned out by musical scores. It's only "room filling" in the sense that it gets very loud, not in the sense that the sound envelopes the room. Overall, it's a small gripe because as a total package...oh this thing is sweet!!! ... show more

    • The best, clearest, most musical soundbar I’ve ever heard!

OK, I just hooked up my Beosound stage. It took about five minutes, including the cabling and running through the B&O app. Everything worked instantly just as it should. I went direct from my Sony 4K UHD player to the stage and of course connected the arc HDMI to the television (LG C8), to which my ATV 4K is directly connected via HDMI. I watched a couple of scenes from the last Jedi on 4K UHD and then a couple of scenes from Hobbs and Shaw on my ATV 4K. There is no latency that I can detect and no lip-synch delay. Holy God, the sound is good! Full and rich and gloriously room filling! The low-end extension is surprising. I mean, I have had subwoofers the size of washing machines by SVS and JL audio that provoked painless hematuria after watching a decent action movie. This is not quite that but it sure sounds like there’s an 8 inch subwoofer somewhere in the room. Listening to “Put Your Records On” by Corinne Bailey Rae right now with a huge smile on my face! It also looks amazing. I can’t wait for my wife to get home. She’s going to drop dead for joy! No more boring black boxes! ... show more

    • Connection problems and no remote control

There is NO remote included. So if the app doesn’t connect then you have to go to the sound bar to change the volume. Sometimes it works with app but most of the time it takes a few min to even connect to it. Lately it randomly plays music from the BO app, that couldn’t be more annoying when you’re tv won’t connect but music will play through the app. I couldn’t get the hdmi to work for 15 min today. Now it plays tv but won’t connect to the app so no volume control. So I can’t adjust anything besides volume, no bass control or anything. You made this over sophisticated for no reason. I can’t even tell when it’s turned on. I just want a sound bar for my tv that has its own remote and is always working with the hdmi. I will be returning. $2000 is way too much for this ... show more
