The media could not be loaded. I always keep my KitchenAid mixer on my kitchen counter towards the back. And when I need to use it, I have to move it towards me by sliding it towards the front of the counter most of the time it stutters its way to the front. Well I was searching online and saw this product was made to help it slide easier. So I was intrigued and ordered it. And I liked the bamboo wood look. The product itself is made of bamboo wood and feels nice and durable and feels smooth to the touch. The bottom has 4 non-slip feet. You simply put your mixer right on top of the wooden mat. This one says it fits 4.5 and 5 quart KitchenAid mixers. I have a KitchenAid 4.5 quart Classic Plus Tilt Head Stand mixer. There was still room around the edges when putting it right on top. When sliding just by pulling the mat, I learned the mixer would move off the mat. So you have to hold the mixer steady with your hand while moving the mat at the same time. I thought this mat would make it extra easy to slide the mixer around, but I tested it out with and without the bamboo mat and it didn’t make that big of a difference in my opinion, maybe because of the 4 non-slip feet on it. But it did stutter a little less with the mat. It does looks nice though. ... show more

Well, YES, in the end. It does make sliding my 5.5 KitchenAid mixer a bit easier. The form doesn't follow the base of the unit exactly and doesn't work with the 6.0 at ALL. Because it expands the area of the base, it can't really be counted on to keep the counter space less cluttered. It is very pretty and blends in well with my appliances. ... show more

The attractive “PEETOOS Bamboo Sliding Mat for KitchenAid Mixer 5-8 QT” arrived promptly and was just as described online. The bamboo slider mat fits more than just the KitchenAid mixer; it accommodates and moves many other brands of mixers as well. You can measure for your own mixer using the product dimensions that follow. The dimensions of the bamboo slider are 15-3/4” in length x 11-1/4” W at the wide end and 7-3/4” in width at the narrow end. It has four large 1-1/3” smooth feet firmly attached to the bottom. This allows it to glide smoothly across a level countertop. Be aware that this mat will not slide along a grouted ceramic tile countertop. It can however be used as a static, non-sliding mat on grouted tile. It will also accommodate a blender or other kitchen tools. I display my often used mixer out on the counter. Now it is highlighted with a rich, natural tray underneath. This lends an element of “feng shui” to my kitchen, or wherever the multiuse tray is used. It will also come in handy as a serving charcuterie board on my buffet table, with its modern shape and lovely polished grain. The slider mat is expertly crafted of 100% natural bamboo. The raised edge and warm finish reveal excellent workmanship throughout. I love the concept of this bamboo slider for under my Kitchen Aid mixer. I was slightly surprised that it wasn't an exact fit. Maybe the base has changed since I got mine 10 years ago? My mixer still fits on the mat and it still functions properly. I was expecting an exact match and since it was not I removed 1 star. Functionality and looks are still great. ... show more

I was skeptical about this when I ordered it, but it turned out to be one of those items I should have had a long time ago. I think it should be included by the mixer manufacturer...just saying. If you, like me, want to keep your mixer out where (and when) you need it, this sturdy bamboo platform is a good thing to have. My heavy KitchenAid mixer sits securely on the base. I can easily slide it on my counter top close to the electrical outlet without scratching or leaving rubber feet marks. There's no jumping or jittering. The bamboo seems very sturdy, and is easy to clean, if needed. I like mine. Note: I would not use this platform without it being flat on the counter, that is, not as a base for lifting the mixer from a cabinet. Use your good sense. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I clearly ordered the wrong size - obviously I should’ve asked my wife before ordering. It’s a nice tray, and it does make accessing the mixer easier. The tray doesn’t slide super easy, but definitely better than having to pick up the mixer to move it. I do wish it came in darker colors to match our countertop, and plan on trying to paint or stain it to blend in better with the granite. ... show more
