The worst part about this product is that it is advertised as air conditioner but it does no cooling whatsoever. I placed it in a small-sized bedroom and after hours the product didn’t come the room at all. This product works more a weaker fan and if that the case then you might as well use a fan and not go through the extra step of setting this air conditioner up. ... show more

    • Not an air conditioner but a simple solution to hot air
I have a very small kitchen that needed cooling but did not have the space for a traditional window air conditioner or split unit. I used a fan under the table during the hot months but wanted one that could cool the air. This fit the bill - cooling with water and taking up very little floor space. It came in a very large cardboard box that was twice the size of the unit and it had split in some parts. As a result, the remote control was not to be found. This is not a biggie for me since it is easy enough for me to press the controls on the top of the machine. The description says it comes with 3 ice packs, but there were only two. Again, not a biggie since 2 will be enough to cool the water reservoir. I would give this a 5 star rating if not for the fact of missing parts. ... show more

    • Doesn't really cool..
It's more like a glorified fan. Slightly cooler when it's blowing but creates a very humid environment. If I hadn't thrown the box away, I'd return it. I'm only using it in a small bedroom and it fails to lower the temperature, just feels more humid.

Very bad item! I bought it too cool a small bedroom and instead it made it smell like plastic and very humid! Does not work at all!! It is worst than a regular fan!

    • works well
first the things i really enjoy: - the remote works great, even at a distance - the air movement with this cooler is shockingly good... it doesnt feel direct like a traditional fan does... it just feels like all the air in the room starts circulation. really impressed with that - i live in texas... and with 114 degree temps outside, it doesnt matter how good your central ac is or how well you are insulated... your ac will struggle. my hottest room in the house is unfortunately the room i spend the most time in, and during the heat of the day, it raises by 8 degrees and gets to a point of uncomfortable. this cooler in cool mode actually works great in my little 180 sq ft office. and then the bad: - this thing is loud... i know they taught it as quiet, but its anything but. its a constant low rumble in the background. thankfully the sound isnt too unpleasant and its a dull hum... but its audible from 20-30 feet away, even on the lowest speed. - the oscillating feature is... ok. it doesnt move much, and definitely not fast. - it would have been nice if the water tray was insulated, making the ice last a tiny bit longer. seems like a minor thing that could have helped. making it a sealed vacuum container would have been even better and made the ice last half a day or longer... but as it is now, its good for about an hour or so. ... show more

    • Works for small area
This helped as an addition to our installed AC. I liked the rotating directional blower, but it stopped working after two months. Not great if you need an entire room cooled. It's fairly quiet. The filter doesn't seem to be removable, which seems odd.
